This 18th century château produces AOC Buzet red and rosé wine in the traditional way. You can visit the cellar, the wine museum and the French gardens.
Henry de Batz is a descendant of Charles de Batz, known as "D'Artagnan", a family that has lived in Gascony for several centuries. He took over the Château de Salles, the family property in the 18th century.
The first vines were planted in 1989. The renovation of the cellars and the vinification were undertaken in 1994. 3 hectares of vines were planted in 2019 with the introduction of Malbec. The estate is in conversion to HVE in 2021 for a first HVE vintage in 2024. Today, Henry de Batz is an independent producer and the 5 hectares of Château de Salles are located in the heart of the Buzet appellation.
The vineyard is made up of Buzet red and rosé and wine jelly.
