The Temple de Mercure museographic area offers young and old alike an interactive tour to complete your discovery of the Temple de Mercure, with films, models, objects and a host of games.
This interactive museum takes you back to the 2nd century AD, when the Temple of Mercury was built. You'll be able to understand the pilgrims' route to the sanctuary, discover the main objects found during excavations, and learn about the materials and techniques used to build the temple.
The Espace Temple de Mercure offers a "walking tour" featuring models, films, copies of excavated objects and an interactive tour for young visitors. It makes this approach to the Temple of Mercury fun and accessible to all!
Stop by the projection corner:
> Le Temple de Mercure, un travail de Romain, a film by David Goeffroy (Court-Jus Production). In 15 minutes, this film, punctuated by videos from archaeologists, presents the construction techniques and, thanks to magnificent computer-generated images, restores the monumentality of this great sanctuary.
Ask for an audio-guide at the reception desk in the temple's museum area:
> audioguided tours of the Temple of Mercury museum.
> Audio-guided tours of the summit of the Puy de Dôme.
The Temple de Mercure museographical area is the starting point for numerous guided tours led by tour guides. On the program: tours of the Temple de Mercure, landscape readings, challenges and exploits and science and weather. Ask for the program at reception!
