Tavaneuse lake

Located at 1805 m altitude in Abondance, at the foot of the cliffs of the small Piron point, between scree slopes and alpine meadows, the Tavaneuse lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the Chablais. The access is sporty but the clarity of its waters is worth the diversions!
The ascent to the lake, of average difficulty, is done from the Prétairié car park or from the Plagnes lake via the Ardens chalets. The more athletic can reach the Roc de Tavaneuse (2156 m).
Dry fly fishing is also practiced here at daybreak.
