The clog factory and the smithy in Marcolès

Description

Discover the crafts of clog-making and blacksmithing.

*Visit a traditional clog-making workshop dating back to 1925. Using original machinery, the clog maker will introduce you to the craft with a demonstration of how clogs are made, from choosing the wood to the finished product.
*Visit a 1930s smithy with its hearth, old tools, noise and smell.

Throughout the year, the association Les Esclops offers day trips to discover the village, which may include the clog-making workshop and/or the smithy, as well as the cellar of a master mead maker and the artisans and artists in the village streets. Lunch breakby Gaëlle's, a former stable converted into a restaurant/pizzeria, or at the Auberge du Portail Bas.
