Lake Saint-Étienne-Cantalès

Description

The second largest artificial lake in Auvergne is 13 km long and covers an area of 563 ha.
The lake is ideal for family leisure activities: Jet skiing, beach volleyball, lazing on its beaches or simply swimming, a 124 m long Himalayan footbridge linking the beaches of Espinet and Rénac... enough to delight all members of the family!
Supervised beaches in July and August: Puech des Ouilhes, Rénac and Espinet.
Boat launch at Puech des Ouilhes, Rénac, Espinet and Ribeyrès.
Predator fishing: day permit (€12) or holiday permit (€33) on sale at www.cartedepeche.fr (enter 15150 Saint-Gérons) or at Laroquebrou Visitors Bureau.

Visit the dam : Free guided tours of the hydroelectric power station of St-Etienne Cantalès, every friday afternoon from june to september. Reservation required at the Tourist Office one month before the visit.
