Description

Cultivated for several generations, the Domaine Plaisance vineyard was taken over and expanded by Marc in 1991, following in the footsteps of his father Louis. Marc's son Thibaut joined the business in 2020.

The estate now has 24 hectares of vines. Not spared at the outset by modern methods of cultivation and vinification, the estate refocused on gentle cultivation techniques in the early 2000s.
The recipe is simple: work the vines as closely as possible to the terroir, without fertilisers or weedkillers, favouring natural products, harvest a very ripe, very healthy, sorted crop, and vinify wines guided by the idea of "letting the earth speak", using indigenous yeasts. The wines are neither fined nor filtered. Today, they are fine ambassadors for the Négrette grape variety, which has been responsible for their incomparable charm and originality for almost two thousand years. More than ever, our aim is to make a wine that is 100% grape juice.

The estate has been officially certified organic since 2011. With the 2016 vintage, biodynamic viticulture was introduced into the vineyards, bringing with it a heightened demand for precision in the cuvées.

Vinification is guided by the different terroirs. At all times, the idea is to let the earth speak so that the wine is a perfect expression of the grape variety-soil pairing. According to this principle, the wines are fermented with natural yeasts, present on the skin of the grape, which guarantee the typicality of the grape variety. Red wines are neither fined nor filtered.
A slight natural deposit is therefore possible, which in no way alters the quality of the wine.
