Description
In this vast picturesque and hilly region called "Entre-Deux-Mers", limited to the south by the Garonne and to the north by the Dordogne, here is the Castle of Crain.
This old feudal castle was built in 1290 by King Edward III of England. Parts of this period remain in perfect condition. A beautiful facade built in the XIX century dominates the valley and its body of water. A little to the distance a beautiful flight of dovecote of the XVI century. The wine cellar of the XIX century surprises by its grandeur and its architecture. The equipment used in the XIX century during the grape harvest and vinification were preserved and rub shoulders with the most recent modern equipment.
Owner of the Château de Crain for nearly 90 years, the Fougère family watches over a beautiful vineyard of 45 ha.
