Pêche à l'étang de la Pouge

With a surface area of 32 ha, the Etang de la Pouge boasts a remarkable wealth of flora and fauna. Part of the departmental network of Espaces Naturels Sensibles and owned by the Conseil départemental de la Haute-Vienne, the pond is also listed in the Limousin ZNIEFF inventory, included in the Gorre and Gorret valleys registered site and integrated into the European network of Natura 2000 sites. Discover it by following the 2.5km interpretation trail, observing the wildlife at the ornithological observatory or fishing on its banks.
Etang de la Pouge is classified as a 1st category lake. A fishing pontoon is accessible to people with reduced mobility. The pond is teeming with fish such as carp, tench and roach. Fishing cards on sale in Saint-Laurent-Sur-Gorre: L'encre bleue (bookshop-press) and "Chez Didine" (tobacconist). Not suitable for swimming.
