Terre Ferme, maraîchage bio

The farm (26 ha) is run entirely using organic farming methods, with no use of synthetic products. A base of manure compost is used to fertilize the land.
Their main activity is the cultivation of a highly diversified range of seasonal vegetables grown in open fields (outdoors) or under tunnels (unheated greenhouses) on a surface area of around 1.5 ha. Maintenance is mainly carried out with the help of their horses and donkeys, using animal traction.
Anne and William also grow cereals (wheat/pea, buckwheat), some of which are used to feed the laying hens, the rest being sold. The fruit trees they planted when they arrived provide them with apples, pears, peaches...
All the vegetables are sold direct to the consumer, on the St-Yrieix market (come and meet them!), via AMap or the Limoges producers' store.
