Description
Rieumes, the Gascony bastide in the heart of the Savès area. The premiers Gers hillsides with terraces overlooking the Garonne river, the Savès contains a changing landscape punctuated with forests, rivers, artificial lakes for irrigation and agricultural land. In the Rieumes township we can admire the beautiful bourgeois timber-framed houses, windmills and the pretty dove-cots as well as a well-preserved former grain-market. The 17 other townships of “Savès 31” also contain a rich architectural heritage which invites you to stroll around, take a detour while exploring and find the surprise of uninterrupted views of the Pyrenees Mountains...
