It is sure that there was a castle in Sterpenich at the 14th century, and this castle belonged to the Sterpenich family at first, then to the Autel one. The current castle was built by Jean-Adam Pellot, who was then the owner, on the ruins of the ancient one, between 1680 and 1690. His son-in-law bought the whole estate in 1706 and he transformed the castle. Afterwhat, this castle was enlarged and fitted during the 19th century, when the family of Berlaymont bought it. It is located outside the village and it is made of an ensemble of buildings around a ractangular yard. It became a listed building in 1956. Only open on special days.(Original text by MT du Pays d?Arlon)
