After having climbed the path leading to the sanctuary, lined with schist crosses, attesting to the talent of the Piette and other regional craftsmen, the walker discovers a building with a rectangular plan, and three canted sides, towards the east. At sunset, a small porch, bordered by a bower, gives access to the nave. A pinnacle surmounts the construction, whose gray slate stands out against the whiteness of the gable. In its green setting, bordered by a circular wall, in dry stones, restored by the members of the association which watches over it, Notre-Dame des Malades calls for meditation.
