3rd June 1876: The Compagnie des chemins de fer nantais opened the line serving Paimbœuf from Saint-Hilaire-de-Chaléons, also serving the towns of Chéméré, Chauvé, Arthon-en-Retz, Saint-Père-en-Retz and Saint-Viaud.
25 May 1878: By decree, the State nationalises the Compagnie de chemin de fer nantais following its bankruptcy; it is replaced by the Compagnie des chemins de fer de l'État.
15 May 1939: Passenger service discontinued due to lack of profitability
24 July 1998: Freight service discontinued for the same reason.
The small building still exists today, but has been converted into a dwelling house. (private property). The old railway line can still be seen nearby.
