Discover the many fountains of Moncaup. This walk, steeped in history, takes you through the woods of Moncaup with its typical species, crossing meadows and vineyards. Its undulating and shaded relief offers very contrasting views and atmospheres.

Exploring the Manas bog along a short trail is an invitation to better understand nature, biodiversity and the commitment of local authorities to protect these places. Along the loop, information boards provide details about the flora and fauna, as well as the unique features of this site. The return journey, which follows the meandering course of the Ombré stream, is most pleasant, sheltered from the sun and lulled by the sound of the water.

This trail enables wheelchair users and families with children in pushchairs to explore Ibos’s main heritage sites. At each point of interest, a signboard provides information on the heritage features in three languages, with a section specifically for children.

Situated on the borders of Bearn, facing Armagnac and Bigorre, Lembeye occupies a strategic position on a branch of the road to Compostela. To resist the inevitable incursions of its neighbours, the village was built as a bastide towards the end of the 13th century. After becoming Protestant in the 16th century, Lembeye was devastated during the Wars of Religion and burnt down by Catholic troops at the beginning of the 17th century, which led to the reconstruction of most of the houses in the village. A circuit of about 2 km will lead you to discover the bastide. You will discover the Place Marcadieu with its 18th century houses, the Clock Tower, the Hautes Promenades path with its view of the Pyrenees mountain range, the gothic style church and its flamboyant style portal..

As soon as you leave the village, walkers find themselves surrounded by crops and walk along beautiful trails, some gravel, some dirt. The monotony of the straight lines is broken up by passages through the undergrowth, fords, the famous Ger menhir and views of the Pyrenees.

The estate offers a magnificent view of the Pyrenees and the Béarn hills. It is located in the village of Moncaup, known for its many fountains. Chantal and Philippe Mur offer you a guided tour of the winery and vineyards by appointment, a tasting of several wines and a sale at the property. They will help you discover their passion for wine and the terroir. From mid-July to the end of August, they organise winegrowers' aperitifs every Thursday at 6pm.
