This walk between sea and countryside takes in the new Voie Verte in Bidart, from the mouth of the Uhabia to the Bassilour mill. Its hard, rolling sand-colored surface will be a landmark. Well-equipped, it will delight families with its footbridges, play areas and rest areas. Posts provide orientation at every crossroads. Its unusual length makes it perfectly accessible all the way to the chapel.

The Voie Verte de l'Uhabia is a soft path, shared by pedestrians and bicycles. This 6km walk starts at the Uhabia estuary, runs along its banks, bypasses the Ur Onea retention basin and continues to the Bassilour mill. It is then extended by a cycle path to the Izarbel technology park Nature" stops with wooden furniture, pontoons and reading tables are scattered along the route... Proudly erected between the presbytery and the former post office, this monument is the work of one of the Gomez brothers, architects from Bayonne. On its flanks, the artist depicted two soldiers, one wearing a helmet and the other wearing the traditional beret. The drawing reveals the influence of art deco. The monument dates from 1924.

The wash-house was renovated in 1934: its basin was redone in cement and covered with a roof. The spring catchment has kept its original aspect. It is fed by the Plazako Ithurria spring, or source of the square. Although its water is no longer drinkable today, it used to be used by the inhabitants of the centre, filled with its constant freshness (15°) Other springs exist in Bidart, including Contresta. Called "royal spring", it gained recognition following the discovery of its therapeutic virtues. It was indeed used as a cure against urinary infections and arthritic states. The water from this spring is no longer drinkable today.

The Chapel of the Madeleine and its esplanade constitute one of the most emblematic sites of Bidart on the Basque Coast. Perhaps the oldest in the town, it was destroyed in 1817 by a hurricane and rebuilt in 1820. Its exceptional site, above the ocean, and the saint to whom it is dedicated, Madeleine, made it a milestone on the pilgrims' route to Santiago de Compostela.

The Memorial is erected on the seafront, along the coastal path. It refers to various sequences of the Second World War that marked the Basque Country: the presence of a community of Basque refugees from Spain, occupation, the forbidden zone, escapes via the port of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and the Spanish border, captivity of colonial troops, the bombing of Biarritz, the building of the fortifications of the Atlantic Wall, acts of Resistance, repression, deportations and persecutions.
