Vous cheminez entre monts (terrils de Fléchinelle, d'Estrée-Blanche, Mont-Pouret…) et campagnes à travers des paysages colorés par les parcelles agricoles cultivées qui côtoient un paysage bocager.

L'EuroVelo se poursuite de Campagne-lès-Wardrecques à Aire-sur-la-Lys. Vous longez le canal de Neufossé sur le chemin de halage. Une fois arrivé à Aire-sur-la-Lys vous pouvez vous dirigez vers Béthune en longeant le Canal d'Aire (voie verte) ou vers Saint-Venant puis Merville en empruntant la véloroute de la Lys (voie verte également).

The Réserve Naturelle Nationale des Étangs du Romelaëre is the natural jewel of the Audomarois marshlands, with over 100 hectares of protected nature in the heart of France's largest cultivated marshland. The Blongios trail starts at the Grange Nature and runs for 2.8 km through the reserve. This wooden pathway on stilts (decking) allows you to explore the marsh in the dry, on foot or in a wheelchair, and discover the local flora and fauna.At the end of the path, the ornithological observatory offers a unique view of the colony of birds nesting nearby. Egrets, ox-guard herons and cormorants are very much in evidence. The reed beds are also home to many species of birds, including blue-throats and phragmites.Spring is the best time to hear them sing and watch them parade atop the reeds.

This magnificent 18th-century building was completed in 1741 by Becquet de Cocove. A perfect example of 18th-century Neoclassical style, nestled amongst the greenery and overlooking an 11-hectare park, the vast building changed hands in the 19th century and was eventually acquired by the Coetlogon family. During the so-called ‘Camp de Boulogne’ episode, Marshal Ney organised lavish soirées at the Château de Cocove. At the turn of the 20th century, a distillery was established on the estate. Spared during both the First and Second World Wars, the château – where the writer Paul Nizan died in May 1940 – was sold in the 1980s and, following restoration, became a four-star hotel and restaurant.

Located in a meadow, this is the house in which Benoit-Joseph Labre was born on March 26 1748. His life as a prilgrim led him to Rome. He was beatified in 1860 and canonized in 1881.
