Welcome to the municipality of Rouvroy where we invite you to stroll along the RAVeL route linking the villages of Rouvroy, Harnoncourt and Lamorteau. Here there is no crazy scramble to the tourist attractions and no schedules to keep to. For your comfort and better accessibility, there are 12 benches along the way, adapted for those with reduced mobility. The Thonne is the river whose source is not far from the village and flows into the Chiers in Thonne-Les-Prés in France. Located within the fortifications built in the 10th century high above the town, this massive church was commissioned in 1346 by the Lords of Apremont. After centuries of warfare, it is now the only historic building left in the upper town. It is a gem of Gothic architecture and it has been listed as a historic monument. Its organ and ornate furnishings date from the 18th century. It also has two huge sculptures by the modern artist, Ipoustéguy, entitled "The Death of Bishop Neumann" and "Christ".

In 2023, this 200 m² space will host an exceptional documentary exhibition on Nazi concentration camps and extermination centers, produced by the Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Déportation. There will also be an exhibition on the Algerian War and the Marine Commandos. There are also numerous documents (archives, photos...), war memorabilia, a historical fresco... A documentation area with computer and Internet connection is available for those wishing to carry out historical research. A leaflet on the military monuments of the Val Dunois, in four languages, is available on site.

The Ipoustéguy arts centre is a multipurpose facility designed for every form of cultural expression. Since 2001, it has housed the world's largest collection of works (bronzes, marble sculptures, watercolours and charcoals) by Jean Robert Ipoustéguy, an internationally famous sculptor and artist who was born in Dun-sur-Meuse in 1920. He was a workaholic, creating 600 sculptures and hundreds of watercolours, drawings and paintings. His works can be seen all over the world, in the largest public collections and in cities known for their connections with the Arts e.g. Tokyo, Washington, Paris, Berlin, London etc.

Guided or self-guided tour of the 12th-century Romanesque building, in a majestic setting on the banks of the Meuse, just a few kilometers from Avioth, Montmédy or Marville, and close to the fortress of Dun-le-Chastel and Notre-Dame de Bonne Garde. The church of Notre-Dame de Mont-devant-Sassey was built in the foothills of the Argonne between the 11th and 13th centuries. The Romanesque abbey church overlooking the village is in the Rheno-Mosan style, with 3 naves and double massing. Despite successive periods of construction and its defensive upgrade in the 17th century, as well as wars and looting, it has survived to the present day with great homogeneity and sober elegance. The church is a treasure trove of Romanesque and Gothic architecture and sculpture: the pentagonal 12th-century choir is covered by a cul-de-four roof, the openwork crypt (or lower church) and the Sedes Sapientiae it houses are remarkable, the 13th-century nave's simplicity bears witness to the Cistercian influence, and the 13th-century sculpted portal is the oldest preserved in Lorraine. In summer, the Young Heritage Ambassadors welcome visitors and give guided tours from 2:30 to 6:30 pm. Self-guided or guided tours for individuals or groups are available outside opening hours, all year round, on reservation with the Friends of Mont Church.

In 1860, Murvaux had 100 hectares of vines, making it the largest vineyard in the north Meuse region. Today it has almost completely disappeared. Now, to recreate the past, a vineyard labourer's house from the 19th century has been opened to the public. It contains a self-guided exhibition of vine-growing and agricultural tools with information notes on the exhibits. There is also a reconstruction of a school room from the early 20th century. Small shop with vine-related products, special events. Guided tours for groups can also be booked throughout the year.

Come and discover the fascinating world of bees at the Maison du Miel et des Abeilles in Aincreville, a small village 5 km from Dun-sur-Meuse, near the Ardennes and Verdun. Here, passionate beekeepers take you on a fun tour of their expertise. In a modern and totally secure facility, unique in Lorraine, enter the heart of the beehive and enjoy a unique experience! From a photo exhibition to a small beekeeping museum and the projection of a documentary on a large screen in a honeycomb-shaped room, the life of a bee, the organization of a colony and beekeeping techniques from the past to the present will hold no secrets for you! With the public safely ensconced in an indoor apiary visible through a glass window, a beekeeper opens a hive before extracting the colony's precious nectar in the honey house. Perhaps you'll see the queen? After the visit, taste the honey made in front of you, then make a wax candle to take home as a souvenir. The store also sells books, honey and beehive products: sweets, cosmetics... Group visits are available from April 15 to September 15, W.E. or weekdays, by appointment.
