Come and discover the fascinating world of bees at the Maison du Miel et des Abeilles in Aincreville, a small village 5 km from Dun-sur-Meuse, near the Ardennes and Verdun. Here, passionate beekeepers take you on a fun tour of their expertise. In a modern and totally secure facility, unique in Lorraine, enter the heart of the beehive and enjoy a unique experience!
From a photo exhibition to a small beekeeping museum and the projection of a documentary on a large screen in a honeycomb-shaped room, the life of a bee, the organization of a colony and beekeeping techniques from the past to the present will hold no secrets for you! With the public safely ensconced in an indoor apiary visible through a glass window, a beekeeper opens a hive before extracting the colony's precious nectar in the honey house. Perhaps you'll see the queen? After the visit, taste the honey made in front of you, then make a wax candle to take home as a souvenir. The store also sells books, honey and beehive products: sweets, cosmetics...
Group visits are available from April 15 to September 15, W.E. or weekdays, by appointment.
