Le Bois Saint-Ignon: A 6.8 km trail through woods and other areas for exploring, making for a varied itinerary. It is also a smooth and easy circuit for mountain bikes. It is also pleasant for horse riding, but there’s a dangerous crossing of the D907. Cense Saint Paul: 6.5 km trail. On foot, this is a lovely walk with many glimpses of the village of Saizerais and even the Mousson hillock to the north. It is a smooth and easy circuit for mountain bikes, particularly in the anti-clockwise direction, but watch out for the horses that often use sections of the loop. On horseback, it is a rather short circuit, almost half tarmac, and the likelihood of encountering a number of other riders. The Voie Bleue cycle route leaves Nancy on a beautiful green corridor along the Meurthe and canal. You reach the Moselle via the junction canal, where you'll find the magnificent Montaigu park and château. Once back on the Moselle, the cycle route continues towards Charmes in a wild, bucolic setting. Freewheel along the towpath of the Canal des Vosges, crossing the canal bridge at Flavigny-sur-Moselle.

First of all, to park, there is quite a lot of space, and if the weather is nice, there are a few small streets perpendicular to the Grande Rue in Lucey that allow you to put the car in the shade. The circuit starts with a few paths going up behind the village towards the forest on 200-300 meters. Once you are in the forest, the principle is to zigzag up and wait for the plateau where the fort is located. The latter is covered by vegetation, and will only be very little visible. You will cross here and there some constructions annexed to the fort to brighten up the walk =) /! Watch out! The walk goes around the fort, but not inside. It is not advisable to try to venture inside, especially with small children or animals: there are many holes and not all parts inside are stable. And until the last news, it's not very legal ;-) The circuit layout will help you to find your way, but you can very well take the many small paths. You'll see them appear on the map (for example on the OSM / OCM map background, they're almost all there). Once you've done the lap, you just have to go back down to the village. Explore this walking and cycling path, a bucolic 19.5-km-long stabilised sand route created along a former railway. It begins in Custines at the end of the Rue Claude Le Lorrain cul-de-sac, which has around twenty parking spaces, and currently ends in Nomeny. It runs through the lovely Mauchère valley, which takes its name from the little 8-km-long stream that runs through Custines, Malleloy, Faulx and Montenoy. The rolling countryside offers viewpoints over the orchards, fields, villages and woods. This “Voie Verte” path takes you on a discovery tour of local rural animals, including sheep, cows and horses. In fact, there is a strong probability that you will come across riders on the section that is open to them, near to the Diapason and Paquis stables in Faux.

Museum Gaspar is housed in the residence of the middle-class family Gaspar from Arlon who had set up in this house (1893) that was built in 1842. It was renovated in 2004. The two most famous members of this family are animal sculptor Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931) and Charles Gaspar (1971-1950) who was a photographer and a sponsor. He gave his house to the town of Arlon on the condition they make a museum of it, dedicated to his brother's work and that put into honour the history and the heritage of Arlon. At the first floor, theree are two restored salons identical to a middle-class salon from the early 20th century that show Jean-Marie Gaspar's sculptures. and the art and picture collection of Charles Gaspar. The rest of the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of the museum that alternates artv and history. A religion room shows collections about the abbey of Orval and to the people's devotion at the 18th century, and also relics from the ancient Saint-Martin church. But the Masterpiece is the famous altarpiece Retable de Fisenne - a 16th century masterpiece from the Antwerp school. It was bought in 1893 by a middle-class family from Arlon, the family Gaspar. Jean Gaspar (1861-1931) was a sculptor. He was trained by the Antwerp sculptor Jef Lambeaux. His works are in bronze and in plaster and they are exhibited in the salons that have been restorated as they were in his house. His brother Charles (1871-1950) was a photographer, a collector and a sponsor. He gave this house to the town of Arlon. It hosts the library of the Archaeological Institute of the Belgian Province of Luxembourg and its secretary office since 1954. A wide part of the museum is also dedicated to temporary exhibitions about art and history of Arlon.

The Musée de l'Automobile de Lorraine is an association museum housed in an original building of a former NATO military base. It is located in the Parc de Loisirs de la Forêt de Haye. The museum has a permanent display of around 80 cars, mainly dating from the 1900s to the 1980s. As the cars are owned by the association's members, the content of the museum is regularly updated, and new models are discovered with each visit. The museum also organizes a thematic temporary exhibition every year. The Musée de l'Automoble de Lorraine also exhibits a number of 2-wheelers, motorcycles and mopeds, as well as an original and comprehensive collection of grease guns. Garage components, plaques and posters decorate the building. The museum also has a bar area and a small store selling miniatures. There is ample free parking. Finally, the museum offers its members a workshop for the maintenance and repair of their cars.

Gondreville is an old Lorraine's medieval village, whose historical origins date back to Gallo-Roman times, is situated on the right bank of the Moselle between Toul and Liverdun. Once the residence of the first Frankish kings, it became in the twelfth century a stronghold of the Dukes of Lorraine who retained until 1766, when the attachment of the duchy to France was recorded. Walking through the village center, you can explore the memories of a historical past that, over time, was printed in the architecture of the houses and the lifestyle of the inhabitants. Its narrow streets and alleys, its door, the remains of its walls, its old courthouse, some old houses have retained it a real charm of authenticity.

The Forêt de Haye massif is located in Meurthe-et-Moselle, to the west of the Nancy conurbation. It is located on a vast limestone plateau hemmed in by the loop of the Moselle, which stretches west to Toul. Arriving at Messein, the Moselle, coming from the Vosges, comes up against a limestone hill. It bypasses this limestone ridge on its way westwards, where it originally joined the Meuse at Pagny-sur-Meuse. A major geological event in the Quaternary caused it to leave the Meuse watershed and curve eastwards. The Moselle joins the Meurthe at Pompey. In this loop lies the Haye plateau, which slopes gently from west to east, following the dip of the limestone strata and dropping cliff-like over the Nancy conurbation.

Built not a long times after the 1870 war, the Fort from Villey-le-Sec is included in the defence system « Séré-de-Rivières». This fort has the unique feature of having completely enclosed the village, making Villey-le-Sec the only fortified village in France at the end of the 19th century. The visit will take you through the northern battery and the reduced fortress, set in lush greenery with a breathtaking view over the Côtes de Toul and the Woëvre. As an old Maison Forte (big house) at the end of the Middle-ages (XVth century), the Grosse Maison (big house) is a whole well known architectural mostly showing Renaissances features with a magnificient dovecote, mullioned windows and basement cellars on two levels. A rectangular courtyard with three landscaped gardens giving a superb view on Moselle complete the monument : A secret garden : the flowerbed, vast rectangular surrounded by high walls A garden of priest : aged from after the Revolution and whose it still exists from that era the useful nature of the garden with its vegetables, grapevines, fruits, aromatic plants A school garden since the end of the XXth century. During centuries, the Grosse Maison became the most important building of the village, step by step « Résidence du prévot » under Jean Raguet- canon of the Cathédrale de Toul chapter (1604) and others canons, nobility belonging, then finally « Bien de la Nation ». Today, it welcomes administrative services of the civic center et many other differents cultural events. The church of the village is also fortified : windows of opportunity ( end of XIIth century). 10km to the North-East of Toul on the boucle de la Moselle (Moselle’s loop). Free entry everyday from 10 am to 12pm on Saturday and on Sunday on July and on August from 2pm to 5pm. The garden of the maison forte, built at the end of the XVth century, is part of a spacious outside seating area overlooking the valley of the Moselle.

Calcareous grassland planted on the Bajocian limestone of the Moselle coast. Its steep slope and southern exposure create arid, sunny conditions that favor the presence of southern plants and insects. Best time to visit: May and June. The site is protected by the Conservatoire des Sites Lorrains and belongs to the commune of Aingeray.

Terrouin is the river's name responsible for the capture of the Moselle 300,000 years ago. Located at Villey-Saint-Etienne, Terrouin is a Sensitive Natural Area managed by the General Council of Meurthe-et-Moselle. 30 km long, this valley is a place of a variety of natural environments: wetlands, old quarries, limestone lawns, pools, ... where each of them are a special area for the refuge of many animal and plant species.

Witness to a new generation of works, the defensive organization of the forest of Villey-Saint-Etienne presents the ultimate evolution of this fortification. This defense revolves around the Fort du Vieux Canton, the only modern fort on the Place de Toul, built in reinforced concrete. The forest of Villey-Saint-Etienne is a veritable conservatory of fortifications. Patiently cleared of vegetation, the site now offers a pleasant walk on a marked and well-informed route. A cursed place with a predestined name, it was chosen by the Nazi occupiers as the culmination of their sinister operations. This deserted spot, lost in the forest but not far from Nancy, where a firing range already existed, was the setting for the firing squad's shootings, the last horizon for those who died alone, without any comfort, without a word of farewell. How many fell there, far from family and friends? No one will know exactly. In the end, La Malpierre was the setting for the tragic end of at least 62 resistance fighters. A stele was erected there after the war, and every year a commemorative ceremony is held to remember the victims. The monument reads: "Here the Germans shot the soldiers of the Resistance who hoped and fought. Passers-by, pay your respects.

The "Le Panorama" restaurant at the Villey le Sec campsite has been in existence since May 2014. For further information: Reservations required in July and August. Recommended for the rest of the year.

Situated at the foot of the medieval village of Liverdun, the campsite is on the banks of the Moselle, not far from a water sports center. It is ideally located in the center of Lorraine. The campsite is accessible to people with reduced mobility and is equipped with a restaurant, a grocery store and a swimming pool: trilingual reception (French, English, German). Open from April 26 to October 01

The campervan park is located next to the campsite. There are 5 parking spaces, as well as an emptying site for waste.

Gîte located in the heart of the medieval village of Liverdun at the foot of Château Corbin, with views of the Côte au Laye from the balcony.
