Small loop on the steep and shady paths leading away from the village. Return via the covered way at the foot of the ramparts to finish with the discovery of the heart of the bastide.

This circuit runs along the village's rampart path, at the foot of the ramparts to the west and north, before climbing up a steep, shady path into the town. A small loop within the town will lead you to discover the winding streets, lined with gardens and the town hall square surrounded by angle irons.

Along this rugged route, you will discover four listed sites: Beauville, a promontory on the Séoune valley, the churches of Blaymont and Massels and the fortified site of Frespech.

From the promontory village of Beauville, the circuit goes down progressively in the valley of the Séoune, by shaded paths. A climb, rather steep at the beginning, allows to reach the pech of Marcoux. At the calvary, do not hesitate to continue the ascent on the boxwood-lined path. As early as the Gallo-Roman era, a temple stood here, probably dedicated to Mercury. The name of Marcoux may be derived from that of the god. In the 12th century, a church was built, and still exists. It is classified as a historical monument. Go back down towards the Petite Séoune, which you will follow for a few hundred metres on a wide track that marks the wooded foot of the hill. Once you have crossed the two rivers again, just before their confluence, you will need to make a final effort to reach the fortified town (almost 120 m of ascent for the last kilometre).

After the castle of Combebonnet, this circuit passes upstream of the lake of Gandaille, crosses a large plateau where cereals and market gardening are very present and ends on the steep paths which surround the tourist lake of Beauville.

From the church of Saint-Julien, go and see the Château de Combebonnet, the church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens in Engayrac and the Lake of Gandaille. An orientation table, a game of goose, a medieval garden, will enhance this nice little walk.

This small easy circuit, nevertheless includes some steep climbs, with shaded passages and some wide openings on the surrounding hillsides.

After the church with its square bell tower, the paths gradually descend into the valley of the Séoune. The lakes, which are very present, allow farmers to irrigate their land and add a touch of blue to the surrounding green landscapes.

This isolated village, regularly rewarded for its flowering, also hides many architectural treasures, dovecotes, houses of character and many panoramas on the hills of Serres.

A short but tough circuit through wooded valleys to discover two churches, Massels and Sainte-Quitterie, classified as Historic Monuments. Sainte-Quitterie's church, which is largely Romanesque, was given an open chapel in the south wall of the nave in the Gothic period. Long hidden under the whitewash, paintings from the end of the 15th century are now reappearing, saved by a conservation and restoration program carried out over many months. These paintings cover the entire walls and vaults. Each wall of the chapel is divided into three superimposed registers, themselves delimited by compartments formed by arcatures resting on fine columns. Located in the Pays de Serres region of the Lot et Garonne in BEAUVILLE, we raise 30 Holstein, Normande and Montbéliarde cows on our family farm. Our milk and dairy products have been organic since summer 2020. Ferme de la Séoune is a member of the INVITATION A LA FERME network of organic and independent farmers. We transform the organic milk from our cows on our farm into yoghurts, dairy desserts and fromage frais. These are marketed under the "INVITATION à la FERME" brand (farmhouse, organic and local). We also market them in short circuits, primarily around our farm, in stores and in the catering trade.

Lac de Gandaille is an ideal spot for strolling or hiking. The lake is strictly closed to swimming and fishing. It is a private site used to irrigate fields.

Located in the heart of the IGP appellation "vin de l'agenais", the name Tulipe Rouge is a reminder that Agen has a protected red tulip. Currently, the vineyard covers 4 hectares. It is concentrated on the southern slopes of the farm on plots that were planted with vines before or shortly after phylloxera. In this part of the Lot-et-Garonne region called the Pays de Serres, the old farmers had opted for an intelligent agriculture: - The southern slopes were in vineyards - The northern slopes were in meadows for the breeding - The bottom of the valleys were used for vegetable and fruit growing - The plateaus were devoted to cereals

We are professional beekeepers located in the town of Blaymont, in the Pays de Serres. Our raw honeys are produced in Aquitaine. Our beekeeping is based on the respect of the bee and we value all the products of the hive as well as we can. Our role is that of a beekeeper who listens to his flock and protects it against external aggressions. From Spring to September, the bees will forage throughout the New Aquitaine region to offer tasty honeys with different tastes: spring honey from plum orchards, chestnut honey from Dordogne, acacia honey from Landes and sunflower honey from Lot et Garonne.

Located 25 km northeast of Agen, the Romanesque church of Sainte-Quitterie is located between Massels and Massoulès, two small villages in the heart of the Lot-et-Garonne countryside. To visit the churche, meet Mr. Piccoli, Mayor of Massels, or Maria Garrouste, tourist office of Penne d'Agenais, both are enthusiast to explain to you the history of this building restored with great care. You will learn that the church of Sainte-Quitterie dates from the twelfth century and especially that it contains remarkable mural paintings of the fifteenth century, which have long been hidden under a whitewash. Different scenes of the life of Christ are represented. These paintings, which cover all the walls and vaults, reappear today, saved by a program of conservation and restoration.

Welcome to the land of Brassagou where the owners grow a mixture of old wheat in organic conversion. From these wheats, they make a stone-ground flour which they then transform into bread, brioche, biscuits...

Between Agen and Penne-d'Agenais, 18 km away from Pujols, you can find Frespech, a fortified village built on a rock. Enter the small town full of charm through the stone door in the city wall. Admire the beautiful 12th-century Romanesque church with its mighty square bell-tower, its round chevet and a roof covered with lauzes. Next to it, surrounded by the vestiges of the castle, a restaurant welcomes you if you would like to taste a typical cuisine from this region, using duck. The Foie gras and magrets that are served in this part of the citywall are dating from the 13th century and are produced at the farm of Souleilles, 3 km from Frespech.

The construction of the abbey of Saint Maurin dates from the end of the 11th century, following its affiliation to the abbey of Moissac and the Benedictine order. This large monastic complex swarmed with numerous churches and priories in the surrounding area, as many possessions that showed its influence and importance within a radius of 20 kilometres. Ruined then restored several times during the Hundred Years' War and during the Wars of Religion, it was during the Revolution that the buildings were sold in lots. Today, one can still admire the choir of the former abbey church as well as two chapels, the cloister, the monastery buildings, the abbey castle and its gardens.
