After a long descent along shady paths lined with vineyards, you will reach the Dor valley. You will then walk due south, to go up gradually on the hillside of Castang. At a bend in the path, the northern ramparts of the bastide appear.

The bastide is almost always visible from all points on this route. You will first walk towards the Verdus forest and then towards the wood of the Tombs of the Giants. This route ends with a long straight line which allows you to appreciate the last climb to the medieval site. This hike will make you discover the southern side of the bastide. On the way back, you will walk through the round tower, the public garden, the streets with half-timbered houses, the town hall square...

Once upon a time, in the beginning of last century, a little land in the Causse, which produced a quality wine, the Thézac-Perricard. Its aroma as subtle as spiced, charmed some of the greatest men: Napoléon the 3rd, Armand Fallières (a former President of the Republic) or the Czar Nicolas the 2nd, who loved it so much that he gave it his name. Today, some great food critics still think this wine is "pleasant and appealing". The wine-grower produces it and sells it, red or rosé.
