Long plateaus, planted with vines or woods, offer panoramic views of the Côtes de Duras vineyards and the surrounding villages.

At the beginning of the circuit, there are woods and meadows, then little by little the vineyards of the Côtes de Duras appear. As you pass through Eybrou, a winery offers a visit and tasting in a cellar. The return journey is via the Escourroux lake. The northern part is small and wild, while the southern part offers excellent conditions for observation during the autumn bird migration. The water level is very low, so you can see all the shorebirds of the region and some rare species such as the red knot or the stagnatile sandpiper. Osprey and Terns are also regular visitors.

Starting from the promontory village of Soumensac, this circuit descends into the Malromé valley, and passes successively through the villages of Saint-Jean-de-Duras and Pardaillan. You will discover the churches of Soumensac and Pardaillan, the latter being slightly off the beaten track, as well as its small village which was built in the Middle Ages around the feudal castle built on the rocky spur overlooking the valley of the Malromé stream. Saint-Jean-de-Duras is located in the Côtes de Duras vineyards and includes part of the old 13th century ramparts of the fortified town of Soumensac, which was part of the village before the French Revolution. Depending on the season, this route will allow you to admire the majestic hot-air balloons rising above the Côtes de Duras vineyards. You can also take part in a trip over the world.

From the Soumensac promontory, this loop descends first to the Marsalou forest, then into the Bois de Manon. From the hamlet of Serres the uninterrupted climb leads back to Soumensac.

A plaque commemorates the presence of Marguerite Duras in this village nestled in the heart of the Pays de Duras, where vines and woods share the space.

This circuit, on the border with the Dordogne, runs through the vineyards of the Côtes de Duras, around the Château de Théobon. Some plum tree orchards and wooded areas provide a little freshness. The commune of Loubès-Bernac has many prestigious vineyards of the A.O.C. "Côtes de Duras". The production area covers about 1800 hectares and includes 15 communes on the hillsides between the Dropt valley, the Dordogne and the Gironde. Pigeon houses are located on the variant of this circuit. Avoid passing through from October 1st to November 15th, or respect the hunters' instructions; whistle to mark your presence.

From Bernac or Montaillac, you can see the wine-growing hills of the Duras hillsides, topped by wooded peaks, and the Dordogne hills, from which the Puyguilhem pech emerges, among others.

This circuit, located to the south-west of the commune of Loubès-Bernac, runs through the vineyards of the Côtes de Duras and the woods that mark the boundary between the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne departments.

This loop with two churches, lined with towers of old windmills, crosses many parcels of vines and allows you to discover the castle of Théobon under several facets. Loubès-Bernac was created at the time of the French Revolution, by the reunion of four parishes whose churches can be found in the heart of the vineyards: Saint-Pierre de Loubès, built in the 12th and 15th centuries, has preserved its Romanesque apse and its leper door. Bernac, built in the 12th century, was reworked in the 15th century. It has a Plantagenet coat of arms on the façade of its portal. Montaillac, which dates from the 11th century, has preserved some paintings. Uffer located on this route, north of the town, is built in a rather irregular style. It would date from the 11th century. The round towers of old windmills are numerous on this route which crosses vineyards, orchards and wooded areas, linking the parish church to that of St-Nazaire which has lost its roof.

Take a stroll through this attractive, picturesque village: the magnificent 1884 washhouse, the tool museum, the 13th-century Romanesque church and the Lac de l'Escourroux are not to be missed! In Soumensac, you'll find passionate winemakers producing AOC Côtes de Duras red and white wines. A café associatif has opened in the village every Tuesday and Friday afternoon out of season, and on Sunday afternoons in season (flexible hours depending on volunteer availability, see their facebook page). Soumensac is a crossing point between the Garonne and the Dordogne and offers a panoramic view of the vineyards and the Dropt. Take a walk through this small picturesque village where you will discover a wash house dating from 1884 and 3 museums: the museum of old tools, the iron and the doll. An associative café opened in 2021 and is open on Tuesdays and Fridays all year round and on Sundays in season. We also recommend a detour to the lake of Lescourroux if you haven't already done so.

Sitting on sunny clay-limestone hillsides, the 13 hectares of the vineyard in organic conversion reflect both the assertive character of this territory and the mildness of the climate. Housed in an adorable house with a flower-filled facade, the Soumensac Museum of Classical, Historical and Folk Dolls welcomes you 15 km east of Duras and its château. Neighboring the Musée de l'Outil Manuel and the Musée du fer à fer, this site houses over seven hundred dolls: dolls in period costume, regional dolls and santons representing traditional trades. Each one is unique, the fruit of long hours of work and dexterity. Not accessible to the disabled.

This museum has a collection of old manual tools, thousands of exhibits, a kitchen of yesteryear with its utensils and a baker's oven. 50 trades are represented there. It presents an exhibition of engravings from the past and offers a guided tour by appointment The visit ends in the museum's flea market. Jacques' collections are growing over time, so don't hesitate to discover new objects each year. This place is not accessible to disabled people.

Unique in the region, this museum has a collection of irons and machines from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Exceptional: Chinese irons between the 5th and 7th century. It is a complete collection of about 250 irons of different energies and different heating processes. Stove to heat by the irons, ember iron, plate iron, tiles, glazing iron, water iron, alcohol iron, gasoline iron, ingot iron ... Unique collection of a great Parisian dyer. Jacques' collections are growing with time. Do not hesitate to discover new objects. In 2017, new showcase on the processes of shaping textiles and leather, shaped in glove wood. On the borders of Lot-et-Garonne, near the Dordogne, 3km from the village of Loubès Bernac, a few steps from the hamlet of Bernac, for 3 generations, the Domaine du Bois Clair has been offering you AOC Côtes de Duras wine in the bottle in red, rosé, white Sauvignon, soft white, traditional method, Bag-In-Box red, rosé and white Sauvignon. Frédéric welcomes you by appointment in French, English or Italian. Take advantage of the magnificent scenery around the estate for a hike and a picnic stop.

Family farm on which we produce with a lot of passion different wines of the appellation Côtes de Duras, preserved ducks, pâtés, rillettes, confits and foies gras.
