Tour quiet easy around Najac to discover very old fountains in wooded and quiet surroundings. Start possible from the holiday village VAL-VVF at the locality Puech Moutonniers. Essential to the village life the fountains were supplied by drainage water from the Terre-Rouge/La Planquette plateau. They are called “griffouls”. The first fountain was built in 1344 in the Bourguet area into a granite block. Some ancient consuls and bishops faces are sculpted on it. The fountain was used until the beginning of the 20th century.

This tour do not start from Najac, it is accessible by car or from the tours n°6 and n°8. The main part of this tour is in the forest. Some conifers were planted for the forestry development but the broad-leaved trees constituted the forest cover until the early 20th century. The forests around Mergieux holiday village are use by the ONF (Forestry Commission).

Hiking trail "The Causses trail" A small village perched on the remains of the old fortress, Montmurat is strongly influenced by the southern climate, which has given it an extraordinary flora: lily of the valley, boxwood, wild asparagus, vines and orchids. Take the time to stroll through the narrow streets of the village, the Mediterranean influenced architecture is remarkable. The clear waters of the Bonnan wind their way through a succession of mown meadows, full of a myriad of butterflies. A real explosion of species and colours in the heart of a natural area. Species diversity : This part of the Bonnan valley is made up of a succession of meadows, formerly used by sheep, now mown. This practice is conducive to the development of a wide variety of flowers, particularly orchids, which are much appreciated by pollinators. The contact between the dry hillsides and the wetlands that accompany the Bonnan contributes further to making this valley one of the richest in the Tarn in terms of species diversity. A particular wetland formation with tall herbs develops on a plot of land at the edge of the path: the hemp-leaf orchid can be seen here, as well as the tall orchid, an orchid of wetlands. From the different colours of the flowers and butterflies, the smell of the cut grass to the sound of the deer bellowing in the valley, the senses are always awake here.

An atypical church in Tarn et Garonne, the Saint Ferréol Church (12th-19th century) in Lavaurette with its round tower and its square tower. 13th century portal and bedside tower 1837 Original church from the 12th century, destroyed and rebuilt in the 16th century, it was further destroyed under the reform, which only spared the bell tower.
