An abandoned and dilapidated goshawk, which the knowledgeable handymen of the City Council have rehabilitated. This one culminates on a hillock, the fifth explanatory site described during the walk. Signs briefly tell the life of the Landes forest. The one of the ditches evokes swamps, the road to Compostela, shepherds, sanitation... The cork oaks are an excuse to learn about their economic role in Vieux-Boucau. Further on, the walker learns about the gluttony of the maritime pine swallowing its 45 tons per day for a wooded hectare. The fourth stop, in a clearing, reminds us of the damage caused by Klaus. The circuit climbs up to the pigeon house and the explanations of this traditional hunting. It is an incredible project which sees the day along the 8 kilometers of the soft way which connect the lake of Soustons to the ocean beach! SCULPTURES IMAGINED BY CHILDREN AND MADE BY STUDENTS All started from the communal will to develop an educational, environmental and cultural project of territory, concretized thanks to the imagination of the teacher and the pupils of CM2 of the school of Isle Verte and to the meeting with an eco-interpreter with whom they worked on the artistic interpretation of the fauna and the flora met on these 8 kilometers of green way.

The marked route will allow you to discover the ancient maritime pine forest and to make a stop at the edge of the Etang de la Prade, a picturesque link in the chain of our ponds Start of the walk: Avenue de l'Océan, opposite the entrance to the Moïsan district. The pond of Moïsan is the last vestige of the bay formed by the ancient mouth of the Adour river. The Mosesan discovery trail "A la découverte de l'Adour perdu" (Discovering the lost Adour) stretches over 3.5 km around the pond and is a delight for holidaymakers' families.

A neo-Romanesque style for this construction which seems to have been spread out from 1848 to 1852. The bell tower, built in 1848, was rebuilt between 1851 and 1856 following its collapse in 1850.

The semaphore of Messanges is a huge tower of the National Navy erected in order to monitor the coastline, from the beach to the open sea, as well as the Landes forest The site is not open to visitors and remains closed during the European Heritage Days, but you can come and observe this 83 m high tower.

The « Joseph Laudouat » arena was built in 1964 by an architect from Mont de Marsan called Franck Bonnefous. It is a Spanish-style circular arena with a crowd capacity of 3000. It was restored and brought up to current health and safety standards in 1984-85. In the 1930’s arenas were much less permanent structures made from wooden barriers and cattle cages and all completely removable. They were no terraces and the audience simply stood behind the barriers. Joseph Ladouat, the mayor of the time, encouraged the construction of a permanent wooden structure, then in 1964 the current arena was inaugurated.
