The parish and the church of St. Andrew of Teich appeared around the year 1300 and were the property of Captal de Buch. The church, dedicated to St. Andrew, underwent at least three alterations, the last one in the years 1922/1924, being a complete transformation because the big tower of the bell tower was threatening ruin. In the interior decoration we find the symbols of the country: apples and pine needles. The modern stained-glass windows, with a good archaic design, were donated by the most eminent families of Ticino. The church houses a listed 17th century polychrome wooden statue of Saint James the Pilgrim, as well as a wooden virgin whom the sailors implored when they ran out of sardines.

In the south-east of the Bay of Arcachon, on the river Eyre, near the Ornithological Reserve of Le Teich, is the small marina with a capacity of 190 boats. The draught is between 1 and 1.80 m depending on the tides. In this same area, there are various facilities such as a water point, toilets, picnic tables, a bathing area equipped and supervised in July and August only, with disabled access.

With more than 250 species observed each season, the Park is meeting place for migrating and resident birds and plays a crucial role in harbouring migratory birds. The park offers 6 kms of pathways from which you can observe more closely from one of the carefully located 20 observation huts. The Robin’s way has been designed specially with children in mind, with the aim of enjoying and learning about the Park through games and exploration. It is also a starting point for activities allowing you to discover more about the environment : going down the river Leyre canoeing, sea kayaking out of the delta… Binoculars can be hired at the ticket office, restaurant, bird’shop, multimediaspace.

In the area of the marina and the Teich Ornithological Reserve, on the banks of the Eyre, there is a swimming pool, supervised in the summer season only, ideal for families. Nearby there are picnic areas and games for the little ones. Access for the disabled is made easier thanks to reserved parking spaces, a duckboard access path to the MNS station, a route to the water thanks to plastic, retractable and non-slip "floor mats", as well as toilets and a picnic table with a disabled parking space.

As far as bird conservation goes, it is a site of international importance, with over 260 species visiting, of which 80 nest on-site. The reserve provides 6 km of walking trails, allowing you to observe the birds from one of twenty cabins constructed near to the most popular spots. The Robin Trail (‘le Sentier du Rouge-gorge’) has been especially designed for children in order to help them get to the know the ornithological reserve’s environment while having fun. Exploration activities are available nearby such as the canoe or the sea kayak, allowing you to discover the La Leyre delta in an original way.

It provides its public with books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and digital resources online. To borrow documents, it is necessary to be registered.
