The Bourg Neuf wash house, located in the square des Anciens Combattants. Housed below the roadway, at the foot of the 12th century ramparts, in the hollow of a former defensive ditch of the city, it is considered the oldest. It is fed by a fountain on which the date 1734 has been engraved. In 1934, it is the subject of repairs: the roof was remodelled, the paintings redone, the woodwork changed, the steps refurbished. Today, the roof is covered with tiles and the access to the wash-house is closed by a gate.

This unique work, a replica of the Marshal Foch monument located on Place du Trocadéro in Paris and featuring fine wooden slats on an inner frame, was offered by the Martin heirs to the Despiau-Wlérick Museum in 1992. This work is now in the pavilion of Jean Rameau Park and lit up at night.

Formerly called "the Nursery”, it is located on Place Francis Planté, the name of a Landes poet and novelist of the beginning of the last century. Created in 1793 to grow pine trees, it became a public garden in 1947.
