Richard Piriou established his own poultry farm in 2014, on the family farm in Guillerval in the south of Essonne. Son of farmers, this poultry farmer raises bare-necked chickens, farm guineafowls, as well as capons for the end of year celebrations. All are raised in a natural outdoor setting and wander through a grassy path of several dozen hectares. The farmer also cultivates cereals on part of his farm according to a sustainable agriculture. Richard's poultry are fed with wheat and corn from the farm but also with oilseeds and protein crops. Richard Priou sells his products on the markets of Etampes or Auvers-Saint-Georges (every other Saturday morning) and then on the markets of Guillerval or Saint-Cyr-la-Rivière (every other Saturday afternoon). It is also possible to place an order directly with the breeder and collect the poultry from the farm.

Water rules around here, whether in lakes, clear streams, boggy meadows or wet woodlands, it imposes its presence on every living species. The praying mantis, previously completely unknown in Basse-Normandie, is particularly abundant. The lesser marbled fritillary, a butterfly also known as the "grande violette" in French, despite its orange colour, can be seen flying in July and August. The area is a breeding ground for wetland birds, such as the common Grasshopper warbler. Rare orchids flower undisturbed. Without grazing or mowing, this orchid would disappear under pressure from the sedges. On the banks of the Corbionne, the European White Elm can be identified in the spring by its lash-lined seeds. Malvina sells soaps & cosmetics made from goat’s milk, wool for knitting and her mohair creations using the hair from her angora goats. With a prior booking, take a guided tour of the farm and the various production workshops (1.5 hour tour).

Created in 1976, ten gardens are separated by walls and hedges of different colours and shapes. This is above all a garden of trees, shrubs and perennials chosen for their visual beauty all year round (flowers, autumn and winter colours) as well as for their botanical interest or rarity. The collections of pieris and daphnes have been approved by the Conservatoire des Collections Végétales Spécialisées (CCVS). Awarded the "Jardin Remarquable" label in 2004 and "Top des Parcs" national first prize in 2006.

Boiscorde Manor spans over several buildings dating from the 15th and 16th Centuries. The entrance is flanked by two round towers , one of which incorporates a massive dovecote. The Manor can be visited from the outside, and its gable boasts some beautiful mullion windows.

Alain Vernholes can tell you a story about each and every one of the 500 trees he himself has planted on his lande in Boiscorde, Rémalard. Weather permitting, the guided tours take place every Sunday afternoon from mid-September to mid-November, with the point of departure at the Tourist Office.
