The Grand Trianon was designed in 1687 by Jules Hardouin-Mansart to allow King Louis XIV to escape the excessive luxury of the Court and to safeguard his love affairs there. Objects and documents of the time spread over 1,000 m² recount the history of the Second World War. This private museum displays a collection built by the owner over 40 years. During the visit, you will be able to see a V-1 flying bomb and a German Goliath tracked mine (a remote controlled demolition vehicle), French cannons, phones and radars, some 30 mannequins wearing uniforms and representing the seven main countries involved in this war, photographs, posters, newspapers, etc. Among the pieces displayed in this museum, you will be able to have a look at rare objects: a tankette, an unusual "Goliath" vehicle, and the most famous of Hitler's secret weapons, a restored V-1 flying bomb.

The "Brasserie des deux amants" (Two Lovers Brewery) is a recent family-run, craft brewery located in Val-De-Reuil, at the Hauts Prés Organic Farming Centre. All year round, Bruno Couchaud passionately brews his beer from organic ingredients. The beer is then bottled or kept in kegs and distributed throughout Normandy. "The Two Lovers Beer is unfiltered and unpasteurized, as uncompromising and unadorned as the heroes of our history. It is handcrafted using organic ingredients and bottle fermented on full moon nights. Just like a story book in an impeccably tidied library, it should be kept vertically in a cool place." Located in the protected area for drinking water abstraction, we grow seasonal organic vegetables year round. Tomato, lettuce, courgette, cabbage, red kuri squash, carrots, and more depending on the season. We well our produce directly on site or deliver our baskets to your workplace or pick up points. Occasional tasting sessions of local organic products, group tours and activities available by appointment and occasional open days for visitors (check the dates in the calendar of events of the Tourist Information Centre). Open all year round on Wednesdays: 9 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm and Saturdays: 9 am to 1 pm.

The Château de Gaillon is considered to be the first Renaissance château in the Seine valley. Built between 1498 and 1510, it is the most remarkable example of the combination of Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture. The chateau was made famous by the Cardinal Georges d'Amboise, a forerunner of the development of Italian Renaissance in France. It would be dismantled during the French Revolution. Extensive restoration works have been carried out for 40 years. Since 2011, the château has been opened to the public.

At L'Estival, the plates are filled with Mediterranean flavours: simple et fresh ingredients make a great dish of the day, combining quantity and quality. The produce on the menu makes it easy to cater for vegetarians.

In Gravigny, just outside Evreux, the Saint Nicolas is concealed behind a discreet facade. The chef and owner, Claude Sauvant, does not like routine in his cooking and makes a point of regularly changing his menu, working with high quality produce and looking for new recipes to please his customers. The menu is varied and suits all budgets and there are several rooms available including a large dining room with terrace that looks out to the garden. The wine list is interesting.
