From the bus stop you will go to the "Pré Sec", a place of walk frequented by the inhabitants of Tocane-Saint-Apre. There is a bathing area on the banks of the Dronne, a river that has been the site of many mills. Among these, the mill of the Bridge is accessible by footbridges on the water and opened to the public in season. From the mill, a signposted route leads to the Dronne hillsides and Montagrier, a small village of character which offers a beautiful view of the valley from a "terrace" at the foot of the church.

This hike starting from Tocane Saint Apre will allow you to go up the hillsides to discover villages of character, before going down to the valley, to walk along the Dronne and its mills and before, why not, plunge into its cool waters after all these efforts!

This equestrian ride departs from the Centre Equestre POINT VERT in Tocane St-Apre. It allows you to explore the surrounding area, moving towards the heights of Le Treuil and Tantalou. After descending through "les planches", you'll go back up to "la Lande" and discover the Gâtine woods, then return along the Dronne to the Equestrian Center.

Route 12 from Montagrier is accessible to all. You will pass through Montagrier and Grand Brassac, villages situated at the top of the hills overlooking the Dronne valley, where you can stop to discover the Romanesque churches. Then the signposted path will seduce you by the variety of the passages, and by the viewpoints on the valley!

Following the merger of the two communes (Tocane and Saint-Apre) in 1852, the church of Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité was built between 1857 and 1861 by the architects Bouillons. The steeple showed numerous cracks, and was consolidated in 1924. The nave roof (which was cross-vaulted at the time) was replaced by a lighter coffered ceiling.

The Maison de la Dronne is based at the Moulin du Pont. This former flour mill dating from the 12th century was converted into a hydroelectric plant in 1907. The building, with its typical Dronne boat-mill architecture, features a working turbine and paddle wheel. Today, the Maison de la Dronne is a tourist site offering family events, exhibitions and electric boat trips. Open from May to September. Join him as he takes you through the doors of this majestic edifice to discover the history of a monument full of surprises! Not only will you be able to visit part of the Château de Fayolle's interior as it was before the renovation work began, but you'll also be able to help make it more attractive and safer.
