La Chapelle-Taillefert - Distance: 20 km On this undulating stage, after the Courtille leisure center, you'll discover the Maupuy massif and its Pierres Civières, the Monts de Guéret arboretum and the Mons de Guéret Giant Labyrinth, the Puy de Chiroux and the Gartempe valley. 2nd stage: La Chapelle-Taillefert ? Guéret - Distance: 28 km This second stage takes you through the Chabrières forest and its Pierres et Légendes. You'll pass the animal park "Les Loups de Chabrières", then the summit of Puy de Gaudy, before descending to downtown Guéret

A 3-day hike north of Guéret, taking in the Puy des Trois Cornes, the Creuse valley and the Glénic and Saint-Fiel viaducts. stage 1: Guéret-Saint-Vaury - Distance: 23 km This first stage takes you through the Maupuy massif and its Pierres Civières to Saint-Vaury. stage 2: Saint-Vaury-Anzême - Distance: 25 km The second stage climbs to Puy des Trois Cornes and the Roches viewpoint. It then descends to Bussière-Dunoise and its pond, before continuing on to Anzême and the Creuse valley. 3rd stage: Anzême-Guéret - Distance: 25Km This final stage takes you to the Anzême leisure center, then the Glénic and Saint-Fiel viaducts, before returning to Guéret town center.

A few kilometers after the start of Saint-Sulpice, a difficult climb takes us to Sous-Faye. The rest of the circuit is easier to reach Guéret and the Courtille leisure centre. We continue then by a regular ascent along the Maupuy river before going back to the north in the direction of the Chardet wood to finally come back to Saint-Sulpice-le-Guérétois by the same way as before.

This 77 km itinerary north of Guéret will take you to the heights of the Peu des 3 cornes to discover the steep gorges of the Creuse. It can be completed in 3 days, in either direction. On more or less hilly and challenging stages, you'll discover the legend of Saint Valéry, the authentic countryside, the old railway tracks and viaduct and, of course, the wild Creuse. This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Departing from a train station or TER bus stop, it allows you to join a walking or hiking itinerary and take a stroll in ecomobility!

This 48.5 km route south of Guéret takes you through the Maupuy and Chabrières forest massifs. It can be completed in 2 days. In the course of challenging stages, you'll discover the stretcher stones, the arborétum of the Monts de Guéret, the legends of the Chabrières forest and its famous wolf park. It can easily be done in both directions. This route is proposed by the Comité Régional de Randonnée Pédestre. Departing from a train station or TER bus stop, it allows you to join a walking or hiking itinerary and take a trip in ecomobility!

The APN du Pays de Guéret is based on the banks of the Etang de Courtille (15ha) at the south-western end of the town of Guéret. It has 3 components: discovery of aquatic environments, fishing techniques and species knowledge, and fishing and artificial fly tying. All these workshops are run by a professional fishing guide and volunteer leaders and supervisors from the Pays de Guéret AAPPMA, the largest in the Creuse département. APN organizes fishing trips to ponds, lakes, rivers and streams in the department, from the shore by float tube or boat. Group and individual courses

The garden was created in 1905 by architect Germain Sauvanet. He opted for a balance between an ambulatory with a variety of species and a formal garden. The site boasts a wide variety of impressively sized trees. The cleanliness of the "annuals" beds makes for a languorous stroll through the many paths. Other highlights include the magnificent statue of a kneeling woman by Marthe Baumel-Schwenck, which adorns the fountain in front of the museum, and the small rockwork bridge gracefully spanning the pond.

Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul church built in the 19th century on the site of a 13th-century building, renovated in the 16th century. It was the chapel of the former monastery around which the town was built.

Located in the Chabrières forest, the discovery trail is ideal for a family walk. Along the way, you'll find fun and educational workshops on flora and fauna. The trail is about 1.4 km long and takes about an hour to complete.

Square Jorrand takes its name from Paul Jorrand, a doctor from Guérande who owned a house in rue du Prat, close to the square, which was named after him in 1941. Paul Jorrand studied at the Collège de Felletin, then at the Faculté de Médecine in Paris, where he obtained his doctorate in 1909. He began his career as a mine doctor in Liévin, before moving to Guéret after the First World War of 1914-1918.

Fernand Maillaud was a painter and artist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Originally from the Indre region, he was often drawn to the Creuse to paint his landscapes. Fernand Maillaud bought a plot of land in Guéret, on which he built a house he nicknamed the Renabec. He set up a studio there, and was a regular summer visitor. Fernand Maillaud's descendants open the doors of this fabulous house, in which everything was shaped by the artist or his family: a veritable treasure trove!

This fountain is located in Place Arfeuillère, on the way to Rue de Pommeil. Built in 1841 by architect Fabre, it takes its name from a famous Guérande doctor, Dr. Léonard Cressant, who lived nearby. This masonry fountain consists of a pillar covered by a granite entablature. In front, a granite basin collects the water.
