This circuit can be started in several places. However, an existing parking area at the place called Monplaisir allows you to start on the Voie Verte, a pedestrian axis on the old railroad that linked Parthenay to Bressuire. After crossing the Bois du Theil and seeing some views of the surrounding fields, exit at the level crossing of the Parthenay-Fénery road at a place called Le Piogé. You then go along the property of Theil with some views on the castle or the ponds. As you pass by, you will see buildings from the end of the 19th century at Sainte-Anne and Notre-Dame. From La Timarière, a small wild and shaded path between woods and meadows brings us back to the starting point.

This hiking trail allows you to discover the town of Saint-Aubin-le-Cloud. It is characterized by the permanent presence of water (river, ponds, lake) and allows you to discover the floristic wealth of the Gâtine, in particular numerous species of trees. It offers unusual views of the town.

This route has been developed to enhance the natural wealth and historical heritage of the stream le Palais. The reach of the old Chabosse mill was developed in 2015 by the Syndicat Mixte de la Vallée du Thouet (SMVT), supported by the owner's desire to restore the old course of the Palais to a more natural functioning. Designed, developed and animated in partnership with the town hall of Saint-Aubin le Cloud and the association Deux-Sèvres Nature Environnement, the path is marked out with photos and gives you access to the riches of a preserved site.

Departure: exit from Chabosse in the direction of Pougne. Possibility to continue to the Satière, a hill where there were two windmills (one is still visible) attached to the watermill of Chabosse. Go back on your steps. Roblin : old stone quarry. To the south of the route, take the path of the crests (locally called the path of Ver-noux). Before turning right, you go along a "fruitière" (apple orchard) topped by anti-hail nets. Shortly after La Barralière, you cross a private property that has been left untouched for forty years by the owner of the mill so that nature can take over. Passage on a few tens of meters between the Palace and the mill's reach. On this same sector, a discovery trail "On the edge of the Palais" has been set up in order to enhance the riches of the stream.

This 7.3 km walk leads you to discover the commune of Lageon and its rich heritage and landscape Departure from the church square.

In Châtillon-sur-Thouet, park on the car park of the greenway. A notice board will show you the starting point. Then follow the wooden markers with a bicycle and light green directional arrows. Without any particular indications, continue on your way. Discover the charm of the Gâtine and the Thouet valley: hedged farmland, waterways and scattered settlements.

Departing from Parthenay, this 5.5km loop will give you the chance to discover trail running on a variety of paths, from single-track to dirt roads, wide paths, up and down stairs and small steep sections in town. In addition to discovering the practice of trail running, this route alternates between paths along the Thouet river and passages through the town, allowing you to explore Parthenay's medieval quarter, with its timber-framed houses, fortified gates and ramparts. Parthenay: Little Carcassonne of the West will hold no secrets for you!

Le Coin Caché is a charming 2-bedroom gite, located in the heart of the countryside in the northern part of the Deux Sèvres. Historically, Le Coin Caché was part of the original farmhouse in the area, which also included the windmill on the hill. Sylvie and Christophe will be delighted to welcome you to our 220 m2 house, where you can rent one or two bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. You can also enjoy breakfast or lunch on our separate terrace. One bedroom has a double bed (140cm), and a crib is available on request. The second bedroom has a double bed (140cm) and a 2-seater sofa bed. We can easily park your bicycles, vehicles or other items. The other rooms in our house are private, but we'd be delighted to welcome you around a roaring fire in our living room, or to share a meal in our kitchen. You can use our kitchen if you wish Petanque pitch and table tennis available. Pets not allowed as we have two dogs, three cats, chickens etc...

On the pond of 14 hectares practice carp fishing in battery or predator fishing with possibility to rent lodgings and rooms.

The Clessé pond is among the most beautiful of the county. Its area: Close to 13 acres. You must walk around it for 1 km to return to your departure point. The walking path is equipped with a 'health trail', children's games, bowling areas and picnic tables. In the event of inclement weather, I00m² of covered play areas are at your disposal. In the pond, fishing alone is permitted. Picnic tables and sanitary facilities at your disposal. As regards fishing, different cards may be procured (for a day, for a year).

Built by the architect Alcide Boutaud in the 19th century, the church of Saint-Benoît was inspired by Romanesque buildings, particularly with the persistence of the bell-tower-porch. With an elongated plan, it is composed of a choir with cut-off sides and a nave covered with crossed ribs. Only the lower part of the bell-tower-porch remains of the old building, the foundations of the walls and the broken arch of the north chapel resting on carved bases of very frusty human figures. A few fragments of starting vaults and pillars with prismatic ribs date it from the 15th century. Inside, a granite funerary slab carved with a cross and a sword can be seen in the pavement.

Prominent on the circuit, the old railway station has been converted into a hikers' stopover. The site is adjacent to a large parking lot, equipped with a water point, picnic table, inviting benches and nearby dry toilets. It's a pleasant place to take a break before setting off to explore the greenway. When the building was renovated, the attic space was designed and fitted out to protect the bats. There are also books and an exhibition on display.

La Ferme aquacole de Gâtine offers fishing in ponds all year round. Different fishing opportunities are available to you on different ponds in NO KILL: fly fishing, lure fishing, float-tube fishing, English fishing, big rod fishing, battery fishing and float-tube rental. The opportunity during the week or the weekend to spend a pleasant moment in the countryside and have fun with friends or family (children must be accompanied). Book before you come!

The Laubreçais belvedere is located at the entrance to the Laubreçais quarry and affords a panorama on the presently operated quarry and its processing facilities. The site belongs the 'man and stone' network. The belvedere affords a superb panoramic view of the quarry now in use. An informative panel explains wastewater management on an industrial site.

The parish church of Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens is the oldest part of the heritage preserved on the territory of the commune. The sanctuary is a construction of the 12th century completed by a nave taken over in 1948. The building is of great simplicity, combining a vaulted choir of two flat chevet bays with a single nave. In the choir, two sculpted coats of arms, including that of the Failly, Lords of the Clairière, surmount the door of the sacristy. The interest of the church lies more particularly in its furniture.

Standing on a small hillock, near the D.19 road, the Quatre Vents mill from the 19th century can be seen from afar, marking the entrance to the commune of Adilly. It is a tower mill of which only the shaft remains. Built in partially plastered rubble, it has two levels (a first floor with two doors and an upper floor with a window). It is currently without roof and was of rather modest height. It is the only example of a windmill in the commune.

In limit with the commune of Châtillon-su-Thouet, the bridge of Sunay spans the Cébron. This medieval bridge is one of the oldest in the canton of Parthenay. Currently in the middle of meadows, it was located on the former main road from Parthenay to Bressuire. On the other side of the pond, another medieval bridge is located in the commune of Châtillon.
