Walk around the Deux-Sèvres Tramway A 1.6 km walk allows everyone, tourists and inhabitants alike, to relive the Tramway des Deux-Sèvres (TDS) in its preserved space through an exhibition of 16 large paintings in the open air. This research work of the 3A thus exposed makes relive this industrial parenthesis which functioned from 1898 to 1939. The line linked Bressuire to Montreuil-Bellay, 62 km apart, passing through many towns including the Argenton station. Other panels (15) around the cemetery show the local life from old postcards unpublished. Tramway line built between 1892 and 1898. 62 km long, it linked Bressuire to Montreuil Bellay with its station in Argenton-Château ... The TDS went through Argentonnay, passing through La Coudre, Le Breuil-sous-Argenton and Ulcot.

La Ruche de Lola is a family-run business that produces local, artisanal honey harvested with the greatest respect for bees, extracted and lovingly potted by the beekeeper, as well as by-products (sweets, nougat, soap, gingerbread, etc.). The honey house is located on the farm, a 50m2 building housing all the equipment needed to extract and jar the honey. Most of the 200 hives are located within a twenty-km radius of Massais, and are moved around a few times a year for special honey flows. In 2024, La Ruche de Lola won 3 medals out of 3 honeys presented at the Concours des saveurs de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, including a gold medal for all-flower honey. The first castle would date from the 13th century and was attached to the duchy of Thouars. The first known lord is Hardouin de Grésille. In the 15th century, Pierre Fleury, consolidated the fortress. It is then necessary to imagine a complex set around a courtyard protected by a wall punctuated by circular towers. A first drawbridge made it possible to cross a water ditch and to enter a courtyard defended by towers. There were various buildings: stable, barn, wine press... A second courtyard also surrounded by ditches and accessible by a bridge carried the keep and the lord's dwelling. In the 19th century, the castle underwent numerous modifications: 2 of the towers were integrated into a bourgeois house built against part of the surrounding wall to which were added outbuildings and a circular dovecote dating from the 16th century. Today it houses the town hall.

To access the picnic area, at the Massais exit follow the D759, a sign just before the bridge indicates the picnic area 500m on the left. There you will find tables, public toilets and drinking water.

In the heart of the Argenton valley, the natural site of the Passerelle d'Auzay has been gradually restored, the fauna and flora are preserved and new activities are proposed between nature and culture.
