The commune of Florimont Gaumier, rich in natural and architectural heritage in the Perigord style with Quercy influences, has undeniable assets to attract all the curious. The vineyards are located on the slopes of the Céou, a small tributary river of the Dordogne, and it is this charming and capricious river that gave its name to the Chai de Moncalou cooperative cellar. The vines produced high quality wines, served at the King's Court! In 1870 it was the second largest vineyard in the Dordogne after Bergerac with no less than 2700 hectares. The small village is organized around 2 bell towers: Florimont, perched at 272m, Causse country and Gaumier which sees the Céou flowing at its feet.

The charming Domaine Chante L’Oiseau is located in the South East of the magnificent and very sunny region of the Périgord Noir, an area of outstanding natural beauty. For wine-growing purposes, the region goes under the designated name of « IGP Périgord ». The vineyard at an altitude of 349 m, specialises in white wine with grape varieties including Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon. The wine-making process adopted is totally respectful of the natural surroundings in which the vineyard is situated, and organic practises are used from the outset. The land on which the vines are grown was previously left uncultivated for over 50 years and has a clay-limestone soil very similar to the soil type from which the AOC Chablis wine is produced.
