Entre Millevaches et Monédières, l'eau se confronte à la pierre et vous offre des reliefs à la fois exigeants et agréables … Après avoir traversé Treignac, classée "Petite cité de caractère", vous montez en direct à la pierre des druides qui vous offre une magnifique vue sur les Monédières. Puis, progressivement vous glissez vers Treignac en longeant plusieurs étangs jusqu'au mur des fénéants … PS : On n'a toujours pas trouvé la potion des druides.

The Veix trail, once used by the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela, skirts two great peaks of the massif: the Puy d'Orliac, which peaks at 705 metres, and the Puy de la Monédière, the highest, which reaches 919 metres in altitude.Right at the beginning, you can explore the Romanesque church of Veix, with its panoramic view of the Puy de la Monédière. From the church, go down the small road that joins the RD 180 about 150 m further on.At the crossroads, turn right towards Treignac. Take this track, which goes around the Puy d'Orliac to the south, until you reach the RD 180 at "Frontomeil".Cut across the departmental road to reach the first houses in the village. Turn left on a path that passes in front of a farm building, then continue on this path at the foot of Puy de la Monédière until you reach a small road at the place known as "Les Borderies".At the road, turn left and continue for 300 m, leaving the road to turn right onto a path that passes over a small stream.Then climb up to the village of "Lasmay". When you arrive in the village, turn left to take a small road. Pass the junction for "La Combe" then 400 m further on, turn right onto an old path that leads to the town of Veix.

A 29 km sportive circuit that takes you to the heart of the Monédières! From the village of Chaumeil, you'll pass the Maurianges pond, climb to the Suc-au-May orientation table, where an incredible panoramic view awaits you, and cross the small hamlet of La Monédière. Difficulty: difficult.

Relive the epic of the famous Bol d'Or des Monédières criterium by competing on the circuit that made this unique race famous! Created by the accordionist Jean Ségurel in the early 1950s, the criterium took place after the Tour de France. The circuit of about twenty kilometres was to be covered seven times, around the village of Chaumeil. Do you dare to ride the seven laps? Your race starts in Chaumeil, in a surprising setting with an omnipresent vegetation representative of the Monédières: heather, broom and gorse. Before crossing the Col du Bois, make a small diversions and set off to conquer the Suc au May at an altitude of 908 metres! Situated at an altitude of 908 metres, the Suc au May panoramic viewpoint offers a magnificent panorama of the Limousin mountains and the Millevaches plateau. The Monédières massif forms a series of bulges and shallow depressions with flat bottoms. In fine weather, you can admire the Auvergne relief: Monts Dôme, Monts Dore and Monts du Cantal.

This "puy" gave its name to the massif of which it is the highest point (919 m). Monédières means "Mountains of the day", due to the play of light that the massif offers in all seasons, and even more so at the end of summer when it is covered in heather.

The farm is located on the heights of the Monédières, in the heart of a green cirque. You can sample our produce on the terrace or in the shop. If you take a walk, you can explore the Monédières moors and take in the views. Our agricultural activity is diversified, extending from the gardens around the village to the moors. Vegetables, fruit, herbs, lamb and wild bilberries are all processed in our workshop and sold exclusively on site.

At the foot of the Monédières massif, a vast cirque cut into the granite rock marks the boundary between plateau and mountain. The Freysselines cirque is a veritable moorland sanctuary: heather, ferns, broom, blueberries and raspberries form a plant heart of rare diversity. Free admission.

Jérôme and Jean-Michel breed this little Scottish cow, with its generous fleece and horns. She is very hardy and adapted to harsh climatic conditions, feeding on grasses and a wide variety of shrubby plants.

For a stopover in the Monédières, Josette welcomes you in her family inn as if you were her guests. Taste her regional cuisine: the menu includes a vegetable soup, a starter, a main course, cheeses, dessert and coffee.

The fully equipped kitchen, the long country table and the comfortable living room promise good times with the family. The second floor consists of a large bedroom, a bathroom and an independent toilet. The proximity of the Monedières massif and its highest point, the vast spaces of the Millevaches Regional Natural Park and the pretty village of Treignac make it an ideal base for exploring this still secret part of the Corrèze.

On the Plateau de Millevaches, the Domaine de la MONEDIERE can be discovered at the end of a small road bordered by forest: a hamlet, a farm where vegetables, organic lamb and wild blueberry jam are produced and finally the 3 gîtes FLORENTINS, BAPTISTE and FRANçOIS which make up the Domaine. The 3 gites are built of local stone, with thick walls and typical Corrèze architectural features: inglenook fireplace, bassière, exposed beams. Coming here is like stepping back in time without sacrificing comfort. Opening onto the garden, each gite has a fully-equipped kitchen with a large farm table and a lounge. We've created a new, family-sized area for just a few tents, with a sanitary module (sink, shower and dry toilet) and a kitchenette module (sink and microwave). You can also sleep in your own vehicle. It is possible to be self-sufficient for meals (bring your own cutlery, microwave and/or stove) or to request meals when booking (dinner / packed lunch, breakfast, picnic). Activities on offer at the equestrian farm: lessons, courses, rides and hikes; horse boarding (including short-term boarding) and training. Close to La Vagabonde cycle route (1km).
