You will walk along wide paths through meadows and undergrowth in this chestnut village, from which it takes its name. You will arrive on a portion of path cut in the granite before seeing the pond of Coiroux and its many tourist facilities. The monks' path leads you from the village abbey to the remains of the female monastery of Coyroux. After admiring the chapel with its Byzantine-style murals, continue along a shady path that crosses typical villages to reach the Puy de Pauliat and its magnificent viewpoints, the Cromlech, the Dolmen, the mysterious site of Roche Bergère, the rocky spur of the Calvaire overlooking Aubazine...Then, return to the village via the mythical Canal des Moines. The Roche Bergère site, also known as "l'Ermitage", is an ancient dry-stone habitat consisting of a dwelling house, various buildings, enclosures and paths. The quality of this construction is particularly remarkable.

Made of pink gneiss (Aubazine stone), this monument dates from the Megalithic period, the last stage of the Neolithic era (4,000 years ago). It was probably a burial site. The dolmen is made up of three pillars and measures 3.60m long and 2m wide.
