After Charmes, the Voie Bleue winds its way along a magnificent greenway along the Canal des Vosges. The remains of the industrial heritage linked to the textile industry are clearly visible at this stage, especially with the old red-brick spinning mill in Nomexy, or the imposing roundhouse in Thaon-les-Vosges. You arrive peacefully at the port of Épinal, nicknamed the “Cité des Images” because of its museum, the largest collection of popular images in France. Charmes: Wild Moselle, bird and beaver watching Chatel sur Moselle: 10th century fortress, the most important in Lorraine, can be visited by reservation. Thaon les Vosges: La Rotonde, a theatre with an amazing architecture Épinal: Image Museum, the Castle and its park, Museum of Ancient and Contemporary Art, Saint Maurice Basilica, Planetarium, SpinaParc.

Thanks to the FRPP for the creation of this hike and for the work done by its teams throughout the year to mark out and maintain these paths. A panoramic path with magnificent views of the Moselle Valley, the blue line of the Vosges, the Colline de Sion and the Saintois. There are also many cultural and natural attractions to discover: churches, wash houses, fountains, the Canal de l'Est, ponds and the Moselle. This looping trail can start at various places: at the car park of the Les Iles campsite in Charmes, at the car park of the Socourt village hall, on the Place des Chanoinesses in Avrainville or in front of the town hall in Florémont. This circuit is marked with a red disc. From the campsite in Charmes, follow the Canal de l'Est which leads you to the Paquis ponds. Then, cross the D157 and you will arrive in the charming village of Socourt. As you climb the slope of the path leading to the heights of the village, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Moselle valley, the Canal de l'Est and the neighbouring villages. As you keep walking, you will gradually discover the surrounding nature, with its local flora and fauna, which is worth looking at. After passing over the RN 57, continue on your way to Avrainville. As you enter this village, take time to look at the fountains and old farmhouses that make up the village. Then, by taking the rue Eugène Jeandin, you will head towards Florémont, a charming village built into the hillside. Here again, you can discover old buildings, such as the Church of Saint Basle from 1789, but also a presbytery, a stone wash house and a crossroads cross from the 15th century. Finally, by taking the hillside path, you will cross the RN 57 again, to return to the town of Charmes, passing by old spinning mills. You will then return to the starting point.

Discover the plain of the south of the Vosges through this 102 kilometre route where the bumps come one after the other like a rollercoaster. Starting from Florémont, you ride towards Ubexy to look for the first series of bumps around Gugney-aux-Aulx, among the orchards. The warm-up is short, the tempo is set until Madegney, the end of the first series. Enjoy a good moment of calm before tackling the next series at Madecourt and its highest point located shortly after Domjulien. A small hilly road quickly leads you to the vicinity of Juvaincourt airport, which you bypass from the north to Poussay. This downhill section along the Madon allows you to take a breather before taking the last roller coaster back to the starting point in Florémont. Once back on the Moselle, the cycle route continues towards Charmes in a wild, bucolic setting. Freewheel along the towpath of the Canal des Vosges, crossing the canal bridge at Flavigny-sur-Moselle.

A walk to discover St-Rémy, proposed by the "Tourism" working group of the Communauté de Communes du Bayonnais and the association Anim'Crevéchamps. This village is, as its name suggests, surrounded by forests. You have to cross or walk along them to access them. Burned, then razed by the First World War, it is a village entirely rebuilt to the "best" of what happened in the 1950s.

Museum Gaspar is housed in the residence of the middle-class family Gaspar from Arlon who had set up in this house (1893) that was built in 1842. It was renovated in 2004. The two most famous members of this family are animal sculptor Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931) and Charles Gaspar (1971-1950) who was a photographer and a sponsor. He gave his house to the town of Arlon on the condition they make a museum of it, dedicated to his brother's work and that put into honour the history and the heritage of Arlon. At the first floor, theree are two restored salons identical to a middle-class salon from the early 20th century that show Jean-Marie Gaspar's sculptures. and the art and picture collection of Charles Gaspar. The rest of the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of the museum that alternates artv and history. A religion room shows collections about the abbey of Orval and to the people's devotion at the 18th century, and also relics from the ancient Saint-Martin church. But the Masterpiece is the famous altarpiece Retable de Fisenne - a 16th century masterpiece from the Antwerp school. It was bought in 1893 by a middle-class family from Arlon, the family Gaspar. Jean Gaspar (1861-1931) was a sculptor. He was trained by the Antwerp sculptor Jef Lambeaux. His works are in bronze and in plaster and they are exhibited in the salons that have been restorated as they were in his house. His brother Charles (1871-1950) was a photographer, a collector and a sponsor. He gave this house to the town of Arlon. It hosts the library of the Archaeological Institute of the Belgian Province of Luxembourg and its secretary office since 1954. A wide part of the museum is also dedicated to temporary exhibitions about art and history of Arlon.

Wander through the Aubepré garden and visit the wide collection of trees, bushes, as well as perennials and the specific features of the botanical environment surrounding a pond. Perfume, foliage and colours all create a romantic and intimate atmosphere. The garden is labeled “jardin remarquable” (remarkable garden); the village has been awarded « 4 Fleurs » (4 flowers) by the Comité National du fleurissement and it won a silver medal in the European Floral City contest. A wonderful botanical garden of 1 hectare with more than 900 species of perennial plants and 3000m² of water completely built by volunteers. This garden was designed and created by 3 botanical enthusiasts named Raphaël Arnould, Michel Capdevielle and Lionel Gonzalez. The scenery looks flamboyant, the flourishing vegetation is luxuriant and the mixture of many different perfumes is truly subtle. Within the water, koi carps seem to play hide and seek with the water lilies.

In Neuves-Maisons, the mine museum Val de Fer is the memory of the miners and is situated in a clearing of 5 hectares that overlooks the Moselle river. A gallery museum of 1000 meters, an iron ore stock in a huge gallery – recently extracted – and an old building “Zublin” from the thirties where the iron ore was put into tip trucks before transport to the blast furnaces. Guided tours by retired miners of the site. Free walk with viewpoint indicators and descriptive signs (about 3 hours). Guided tours by the “Gueules Jaunes” (retired miners) about an hour for the underground route. Green scenery in this beech grove of the “Forêt de Haye”. Just outside Nancy, stands a unique testimony to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance in Lorraine. This exceptional site, named Fléville, offers visitors a superb 30-meter-high keep set against a beautiful Renaissance facade, often compared to Azay le Rideau. This cheerful, refined architecture is home to many treasures, including Renaissance woodwork, a collection of 18th-century tapestries, the prestigious Hall of Coat-of-Arms of the Dukes of Lorraine, the royal apartments dedicated to the King of Poland, Duke of Lorraine Stanislas Leszczynski, and a suite of intimate rooms evoking the life that still goes on there. This beautiful building is also a family home, inhabited by the same family for over two centuries, giving it a warm, lively atmosphere. It adjoins a garden classified as a Remarkable Garden, with an 18th-century Orangery, adorned with a marvellous 17th-century trompe l'oeil recently restored. Special attention is paid to children, with knight and princess costumes and a play booklet for a fun and educational visit. The château is currently closed.

The romantic 20-hectare park, designed by Choulot, surrounds the château like a green bower. It follows on from an 18th-century garden created by an emulator of Lenôtre. You'll appreciate the grand perspectives, serpentine paths, skylights, water mirrors and fabriques, copses and groves, not forgetting the island and its pretty Art Nouveau bridge. Although the exotic species (tulip trees) have disappeared with age and time, some beautiful species remain, notably pines. A planting program is still underway to keep with tradition. And next to the garden with its rose garden and fruit trees, at the rear of the 17th-century Orangerie, stands a recently restored trompe l'oeil, evoking the painted décor that undoubtedly served as the backdrop for 18th-century festivities.

17km south-east from Toul on the « Boucle de la Moselle » (Moselle river loop). Free access every day. In the 16th century, this mansion was surrounded by dry moats or moats filled with water according to the circumstances.

Settled above the village of Sexey-aux-Forges, the site overlooks the spectacular meanders of the Moselle river and offers the typical fauna and flora of limestone ground. Its biological interest was highlighted in 1983 thanks to the creation of a certified natural area : Zone Naturelle d’Intérêt Floristique et Faunistique - called Pelouse des Pâtis. Nowadays, the site is registered at European level under the label : Natura 2000. This site is protected by the Conservatoire des Sites Lorrains.

This garden was created by the landscape gardener Jacques Couturieux. He associates with a secular box tree path, shrubberies and perennial plants. Open from May to September (Guided tour ON ASK).

At 30 kilometers south of Nancy, Froville's priory is a unique place in Lorraine : the romanesque church dates back to eleventh century and its cloister was buit in the fifteenth century. It's also open to visitors and every year, there are many concerts and events like the prestigious sacred and baroque music Festival.

Completely open to its surroundings, the Grand Parc de l'Embanie is a pleasant place to stroll, with wide-open spaces, remarkable trees, playgrounds and a sports area, the Moulin and Frocourt streams, pony pastures and allotments at the entrance. A discovery trail through the Grand Parc, starting from the events area, leads to 13 specimens identified by a signposting sheet. The remarkable row of tetter willows lining the Frocourt and Moulin streams is worthy of note for the number of trees in an urban area. They also constitute a natural reservoir of biodiversity. The majestic stature of the three-hundred-year-old oaks can be seen from the chemin de la grande charrière or the bois Banal, where you can get up close and personal. There are benches at every step, allowing visitors of all ages to relax and admire the surrounding flora and fauna. Another point of interest in the park is the Etang de l'Embanie, a 3,000 m2, 2-metre-deep artificial lake created at the end of 1970. It is fed by the Moulin stream. The banks of the pond are covered with a varied vegetation where rare species (Bald Cypress), shimmering shrubs and luxuriant grasses blend harmoniously. The site is home to numerous plant and animal species, typical of the region's natural heritage. The landscape changes with the seasons. The Parc de l'Embanie is also a lively place for families, with regular events such as Saveurs Nature, the Easter egg hunt and Saint-Jean bonfires.

Opposite the washhouse, the Parc du Tonneau, in the street that gives it its name, was once the pleasure garden of the Georgel estate, a handsome nobleman's residence built at the end of the 18th century. The building has undergone modifications over the decades, but the park has retained its ornamental trees, fruit trees, pond and rockeries, all of which contribute to the charm of this listed wooded area. Bought by the town council, it was opened to the public in 2014 and is part of the Refuges LPO network.

During this period, the campsite will be open exclusively to self-contained motorhomes, with a maximum capacity of 58 vehicles on stabilized pitches. We would like to inform you that the usual services (sanitary facilities, snack bar, swimming pool) will not be available. The only services available will be access to electricity and the motorhome drainage point. Reception opening times will be adjusted as follows: * Morning: 11:00 to 12:00 * Check-in at reception: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm * On-call check-in: 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Reservations can be made directly via our website or by telephone during reception opening hours.
