The chapel of Jévaux (also spelled Gévaux) is located in a clearing in the middle of the Vieille Poirière forest, in the municipality of Jouy-sous-les-Côtes, which is where its name comes from. Let yourself be seduced by the discreet charm of Notre-Dame de la Nativité church, a Romanesque treasure nestled in the hills above Écrouves. Listed as a historic monument since 1883, it features a square bell tower with geminated bays, sculpted modillions and murals on the walls.

The Choloy-Ménillot national necropolis was created between 1914 and 1924 and comprises three parts. The first is the French cemetery, containing the graves of 1,079 soldiers: 1,926 French (14-18), 1 British, 49 Polish, 6 Romanian, 86 Russian, 2 Serbian and 9 other French (39-45). The second part is the British military cemetery, containing the remains of 461 British, Canadian, New Zealand, South African and Indian soldiers. The third part is the garrison military cemetery, where the bodies of 49 French soldiers of the Muslim faith are buried. The former parish church of Saint-Martin, now a chapel, dominates the village. It comprises a bell tower surmounting a square bay extended by a semicircular apse, flanked on the north and south by two small rectangular transepts. It dates from the 12th century. The transept crossing is vaulted with ogives made of large rounded cornices whose ends, embedded in the walls, end in the shape of a pencil point, which is quite common in Lorraine. Less common is the fact that the arms of the transept have transverse barrel vaults. The apse is cross-vaulted, with decoration added in the 18th century. This combination of different architectural techniques is what makes this building so interesting, and it is listed on the Supplementary Inventory of Historic Monuments. When the nave was demolished, the side altars and their altarpieces were moved from the nave to the transepts. The torso columns of the altarpieces are artfully decorated with bunches of grapes and grape leaves. The upper cornice supported statues that are now stored in the new church. The high altar is in wood, painted white with gilding. The present transept windows were added late, probably when the original openings were blocked by 18th-century decoration. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the twinning between Toul and Hamm-Mitte (Germany) the elephant symbol of Hamm was offered to the City of Toul. The pachyderm which was decorated by high school student’s has the coats of arms of the two cities displayed on its flanks as well as the vineyards of Toul and the glass and steel elephant of Maximilian Park in Hamm.

This residence contains vestiges of Toul's historical and architectural heritage: the former Hôpital du Saint Esprit and the former Hôtel de Pimodan. Its owner is currently restoring them. Smaller than the cathedral, the Collégiale Saint-Gengoult nevertheless houses a veritable architectural treasure: its cloister. Begun in the 1510s and brutally completed around 1522, it is a well-preserved showcase, skilfully blending flamboyant Gothic and Renaissance styles. The galleries are decorated by 78 keystones, each with its own unique motif. The Gothic collegiate church was built at the same time as Saint-Etienne cathedral. Partly financed by the bourgeoisie of Toul, it symbolizes the town's autonomy from its bishop. Its interior features a number of small elements that make it a highly appreciated monument, including its original stained glass windows dating from the 13th and 14th centuries, as well as the many plinths in the building.

Built between 1510 and 1522, the cloister's decoration marks the introduction of the Renaissance into local architecture. The overall structure remains Gothic, with each gallery featuring liernes and tiercerons animated by a series of keystones typical of the Flamboyant Gothic style. Housed in a former Church the Museum of Art & History offers rich permanent collections as well as eclectic temporary exhibitions. Consisting of a central body with a facade on Gouvion Saint-Cyr street and with two wings surrounding a garden this architectural ensemble from the 18th century stands on three levels. Within these buildings is an old hospital dating from the first half of the 13th century. Since 2010 the garden has been home to a sample of plants (19 varieties) that are pleasant on the palate or known for their fragrance. The Museum’s garden consists of a collection of aromatic plants used for cooking and decoration which will appeal to your sense of smell along the fence wall. In the garden you can find Artemisia absinthium (better known as absinthe) and the Viola odorata (sweet violet) which is recognisable by its fragrance.
