Take it to the left to find point 3.At the next crossroads, turn to the right. Go on alongside the field until you reach a section of the path you took on the way to the enclosed pastures. Turn left on the track that goes up and past an old communal laundry. At the intersection, go up to the right to find the starting point.

Overlooking Neuvic, take a stroll through the Puy Chaffaud arboretum, where you can learn to distinguish the different species, with your family or on your own. Then stroll through the forests managed by the ONF (Office National des Forêts) and take a break by the Etang de la Vergne. It goes into the forest. Turn right at the crossroads with the multi-branched beech tree.When you reach the road, turn right then left at the departmental road. Pass the Vianon again, leave the road to Palisse-Haute on the right, then, 200 m further on, take an uphill path on the right. Follow it straight ahead, alongside the meadows and then the campsite.Take the road to the left and then, 100 m after, take another path on the right.On the road, continue to the left for 300 m, then follow a track to the right. At the end of the track, before the grassy path, follow an inconspicuous path on the left that rejoins the road. Turn right to get back to the starting point.

After the houses, take a left turn onto a woodland track; go right at the next crossroads. At the road, turn left for 100m and then right at the next track to reach the Etang des Ganes.Walk alongside the lake by the footbridge then go up by the tarmac track as far as the village. In the village, take the road to the left and then to the right after the last house. At the next crossroads, turn right to Bouix. Take the departmental B-road on the left for 100m. Then, at the end of the straight section, the road on the left.This path runs alongside the Etang du Grenouiller. Go straight on at the next crossroads to reach the Trompette lake. Go over the dam. Continue to the hamlet of Viers. Continue straight on to reach the starting point again.

The road becomes a track.Where the tracks cross, turn right: stay on the main path down into the gorge for 1.5 km. At the crossroads, turn right to make a return trip to the river; go up for 200 metres to see the rocky gorge and then return to the crossroads.Go up a few metres and leave the main path on the right for a small steep trail; follow the signs carefully on this long and technical section - it doesn't have many landmarks. Pass under a power line and find a track.Go up for 50 metres, then drop down to the right by a path in the undergrowth that joins a road. Follow the road to the left to reach the Old Church.Level with the site (you can go up to the church by the stone steps or to go down on the right for a round trip to the Luzège dam, 500 m), take a trail on the left which goes up by wooden steps; stay on the main route: the trail becomes a path at the end of the wood, then a road towards the first house. Go through the village of La Croix; continue on the road, passing the road towards the village of La Chevalerie on the right.In the village of Laborie, take the track on the left, which arrives at a crossroads of tracks. Turn right to take the track you already took on the way to the starting point.

The charming and dynamic village of St Hilaire Luc has a rich heritage of ancient buildings, including the old bread oven. Restored and put back into operation by local residents, the oven now hosts a number of events, including the "Rando des tartines" (bread oven walk) held every Easter.

In 1929, the town of Neuvic undertook the creation of three washhouses, including this one, the Raymonde wash house. Two other washhouses are still visible (the Grandes washhouse and the Gane washhouse). They remained in use until the middle of the 20th century when they were gradually supplanted by domestic washing machines.

Famously known as the "Tacot", the Transcorrézien ran in Haute-Corrèze for over fifty years, between 1912 and 1959. At the time, the 114 km journey took 8 hours and linked Ussel/Tulle. The Tacot passed through some fifteen small stations. Route Historique / Route du Transcorrézien. In the early 2000s, the Syndicat Intercommunal du Transcorrézien (now dissolved) undertook the restoration of some of these stations, treasures of the Corrèze heritage. Hiking trails have even been laid out along the route of the old steam train. To discover them today, simply follow the signs for the "Route du Transcorrézien". This is the only station to have been converted to residential use. Although privately owned, it can be seen from the road.

Gabrielle and Gérard STRUMPLER, with a rich and atypical background, found in Corrèze the place that matched their project: to create a place to live and welcome people, with a farm that would be an educational, therapeutic and integration tool. Since 2012, in this unspoilt area of Raulhac in the Haute-Corrèze region, they have been offering an educational garden for biodiversity, where encounters between generations and agriculture come together, with the essential aim of preserving the fruit heritage of ancestors and sharing the pleasure of eco-responsible gardening. On the farm, they grow and process mainly red fruit, but also fruit trees, vegetables... A diversified, certified organic farm that preserves the natural balance.

While the first part of the route leads through coniferous forests with numerous logging areas, this magnificent path leads to a beech forest.Historically, the department of Corrèze was not forested. In 1900, forests in Corrèze occupied only ¼ of the territory. Today, almost half of the department's surface is wooded. The significant abandonment of agriculture has encouraged planting, particularly of softwoods, with a clear predilection for planting Douglas fir. The Antoine Munoz crossroads pays tribute to a former forest ranger.

Used to wash the laundry for the village. This activity was physically very difficult. The washhouse served an important social function as it was a place where women could meet and talk.

This hike will offer you a remarkable view of the highest volcano in metropolitan France, the Puy de Sancy. At 1,885 metres above sea level, this summit is the highest point of the Massif Central. The two streams, the Dore and the Dogne, originate there, and their confluence forms the Dordogne.

Despite an etymology that makes Neuvic a "new village" (novus vicus, in Latin), the town has a long history. It would seem that Neuvic's origins lie in a population shift. In any case, Neuvic has been known since the 11th-12th centuries as a dependent town of the Viscounty of Ventadour, with its impressive castle and prestigious literary reputation, linked to the medieval troubadours. Neuvic has its fortifications, the remains of which can still be seen in the oldest street, its entrance gates and its church, remodeled in the 15th century after the destruction of the Hundred Years War. The town also had its charter of franchises. In the mid-19th century, Neuvic became known for its farm school, a local component of the agricultural education system introduced by the Second Republic. Founded by Jean-Hyacinthe d?Ussel on his Plaines farm, he ran the school until his death in 1891. It was

Henri Queuille, a major political figure of the Third and Fourth Republics, is ‘the most illustrious of the Corréziens’ according to Jacques Chirac. General de Gaulle's number two in the Provisional Government, he was three times President of the Council and a minister on more than thirty occasions. He was also the founder of the SNCF.
