Beginning at the city center, this trail guides you to the higher ground called the “Mont Juillet”. At the pond of “La Martellière”, you will find tables and a playground.

Prepare yourself for a hike of 2 hours long with 500 metres along the water. You will admire the vast expanse of the Plains of Mazerolles with 3 kilometres long and 1 kilometre large. This site is ideal for kids. It is also possible to go fishing for people with reduced mobility. Or you can have a picnic or some sport. At the end of this loop, you will see the Castle of La Baraudière surrounded by its stone walls from the 19th century and not far from there the Castle of Bois Mellet. A plate has been placed at the entry and it is written “qui a accueilli, cache et protégé les résistants de la région” which means “that has hosted, hided and protected the resistants of the region”.

The beginning of the hike starts at the parking of the train station. This trail has several variants that allows you to go on real steep trails like a maze with parallel roads. It has a distinguished atmosphere, secret and mesmerising. When you come back, go down to the port where you will find our restaurants and for those who love nature, make a stop to the “Ganuchaud” botanic garden which is located at the end of “la rue d’Angleterre”. Also, pass by “La Cour Gaillard” which is in “La Grand-Rue” and was edified by protestants at the Edit of Nantes. This site stays, until 1685, an important protestant place.

Discover the Plains of Mazerolles, a vast expanse of water of 3 kilometres long and 1 kilometre large. With a little bit of patience, you may see herons on the shores and a lot of other birds during migration season. Labelled refuge of the French League for the Protection of Birds (LPO), the site has also three beehives financed by the collectivity and an orchard. A themed path has also been created by the Municipality. The trail begins on the edges of the river Erdre to go through the undergrowth alleys, steep paths and goes through adorable little villages. It is possible to join the port of Sucé-sur-Erdre if you take the Atlantic Coast Route, or from the city-centre for this hike. The departure point is from the nautical base of Mazerolles.

A walking trail to discover the paths of the countryside. It begins in the city center, at the parking lot of the sports complex of Fernant Sastre, do not miss the visible heritage such as the church, the old town, the windmill…  It is possible to prolong this walk towards the port La Rivière, where you can see the castle of the Pont Hus then follow the path to get to a point of view on the river L’Erdre.  

Beginning at the sports complex, this trail will take you north of the town. You will see the castle du Pont Hus and its famous stud farm but also the “logis du Breuil”, a renovated fort.

Looking for some fresh air? Escape to the Espace Naturel la Corbelière in Moulins and fill up on greenery! This 2 km trail, on a preserved site, is at the heart of a vast bocage landscape, cradle of springs where meadows, ponds, hedges and small streams mingle. This site has been awarded the "Espace Naturel Sensitive" label. With the family: a moment of complicity guaranteed! On your own: a great opportunity to recharge your batteries! Thanks to the support of the Département des Deux-Sèvres, JDO Paysages (Terves) has installed two attractive and fun footbridges. They're sure to delight young and old alike! An educational panel talks about "mollins". What are they? To find out, scan the QR code on the panel and listen to what the locals have to say. The site is also home to several geocaches, an orienteering course and a Tèrra Aventura course called "La Corbelière des z?ombres"

This site comprises blocks of white quartz recognised in 1909 as a Monument and Site of Natural Interest. The site of the Pyrôme rocks used to be inhabited by goblins. According to legend, every year at the stroke of midnight on Christmas Eve, one of the huge blocks of rock would rise up and the goblins would appear offering their treasure, hidden there, to anyone who would agree to give up their place in Paradise. Today it offers an interesting panoramic view spreading beyond Moulins and the Ouin valley toward the Cholet area. A path join the Corbelière Site, "Espace naturel sensible").

Completely renovated, this house of over 100 m2 is ideal for 6 people. With 3 spacious, comfortable bedrooms and 2 shower rooms on the first floor, "La Juline" offers private rest areas for everyone, as well as a lovely space to share a moment together that we hope will be convivial and cosy, with 2 private terraces and a large garden. The gîte is located 40 minutes from the Puy du Fou, 50 minutes from Nantes and 1h10 from the coast. La Juline is a project that has taken almost 3 years to preserve and breathe new life into a stone and earth building that bears witness to the local industry. Terres, a testimony to farming activity in the heart of our Haut Bocage countryside. Our aim is to offer our guests a peaceful break in a relaxing and welcoming environment. As we are committed to following and implementing respectful and sustainable environmental actions, it was only natural for us to include La Juline in the "Valise Verte" initiative proposed by Vendée Expansion, in order to achieve continuous improvement.

Our house adopts this colour code, along with the square pillar and brick, the queen of materials in our town. Red also evokes the fire of the underworld....Clisson rhymes with Hellfest, the extreme music festival that takes place every year. And red also means joy, passion and love! Perfect for a couple's stay (or not) and to go hiking or cycling in the Nantes vineyards, along the Sèvre Nantaise, or simply to 'laze around' with a glass of Muscadet! The Paradiso room has a private terrace and shower room. You'll find all the comforts you need: 160x200 double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, 2 armchairs and table, Wi-Fi fibre connection. Bathroom linen is provided (towel, bath sheet, flannel). Wifi access. A separate entrance allows you to come and go independently. To get the day off to a good start, we offer a French-style breakfast (please let us know if you have any food intolerances) in our dining room or on our private terrace (another one??). Located in the commune of Cugand, in the heart of the Nantes vineyards, our gîte sleeps 4 people, with 2 extra places available for children, for a total of 6 people. Bicycles are at your disposal for beautiful rides between land and vineyards or near the Sèvre Nantaise. Games are also available to enjoy outdoors (table tennis, basketball court, petanque, etc.) as well as indoors (board games, puzzles, books). Discover Clisson (3 kms) and its castle, visit the city of Nantes (30 kms), stroll along the beaches of the Côte de Jade (Pornic 80 kms away). For history buffs, the Puy du Fou is just 40 minutes away. We live and work on site (in a separate house) and would be delighted to show you around our farm.
