This 26-km circuit passes Chambois, Aubry-en-Exmes and Tournai-sur-Dives where the battle ended, then Moissy, Saint-Lambert sur Dives, Coudehard, to finish at the Memorial at Mont-Ormel. The Mont-Ormel memorial, not to be missed, provides a detailed understanding of this historical circuit, and the course of the battle.

From Chambois to the Montormel Memorial, the route follows the paths where, in the summer of 1944, thousands of men died for the freedom of our country.

From Médavy to Saint Christophe le Jajolet, passing through Mortrée, this 33-km circuit will take you to some of the jewels of the Orne department. Don't hesitate to stop and discover the history of the Orne through its heritage.

View of the battlefield A 4-km long natural barrier of hills ends the plain of Trun. This geological and topographical particularity played a crucial role in the outcome of the Battle of Normandy. Also known as the “cuesta”, its sunny slopes are home to flower meadows with a great diversity of flora and fauna, where several rare species of orchid, gentian and bellflower thrive. The high points provide stunning panoramas over the peaceful Vallée de la Dives as well as an understanding of the setting of the terrible battles that took place there.

Today, the Haras du Pin is an exceptional place in Normandy and every year, more than 200 days of world-renowned equestrian competitions take place here. There are also countless other tourism and cultural activities. A TOUR OF THE HARAS is an exploration of the whole historic centre of the Haras du Pin. In the heart of Le Vieux-Pin, appreciate the built heritage, classed to historical monument of France : castle and presbytary from 17th century, and the old church Saint Ouen from 18th century with a bell tower in frame in the center of the nave. This church was built in 1779, transferred in 1857 and transformed in stable. Today, it is no long use.
