Take the sheltered pathways and walk through the intimacy of secret places emerging into the light on the ridgBy way of stones and valleys, between woods and low, dry-stone walls, this walk allows you to explore Crocq and its surroundings.s. Go up as far as the towers and then to the cemetery. Then go straight down, as far as the château wall, and follow it to the road (D10). Go up the D10 towards Crocq; just after the small road going up on the right, take the GR 4 on the left. Continue on the path to St. Alvard's chapel. At the chapel, go down the road and take the first path on the right. At the end of this road, turn left towards the Crocq - Dimpoux road. Cross the road and go up alongside the wood. Continue to the Urbe crossroads. Cross the Crocq-Flayat road and take the old Roman road opposite. Continue to the small road that leads to Naberon and turn right to the D 28. Cut across the road to take the opposite path between the meadows. Turn right at the first and then the second junctions. At the third, go up the rise on the left, and you will find a pleasant descent to Crocq and the road which goes back up to the village.

From dolmens to dungeons, discover the history of Crocq and its surroundings. Go down the main street towards La Courtine. Go past the college and take the first road on the left, in the direction of Laval. In the village of Laval, turn left on the downhill road, signposted "le Dolmen"; go through the woods. Go up slightly towards the clearing where the dolmen is located and follow the path, which, on the way down, joins the Laval-Dimpoux road. Turn left (100 m before the road) on the road leading to Saint-Alvard. Go up to the chapel and, at the top on the left, take the path that goes between the meadows and then into the wood. Follow the path straight ahead (leaving the path on the right that goes up to La Mazerette). After the stream, turn right onto the uphill path into the wood and follow it straight on until you reach the road to Crocq. Cross the road and take the passage opposite to go up towards the village.

Start : Place Georges Hubert Marking : Yellow 1 - Go down the main street towards La Courtine; turn right onto the road which passes the Gendarmerie. 2 - After the school, turn right towards Magnat l'Étrange; pass H.L.M. and take the track opposite; go up along the edge of the meadows and then into the woods. 3 - Continue to the next junction; follow the road slightly to the left between the meadows for about 250 m; fork left to the crossroads. 4 - Take the Naberon-Les Corrades road for 100 m, then the left-hand track; continue straight on 5 - Turn left onto the track leading down to the Urbe pond, then back up to the D 996 road 6 - Turn right and follow the D 996 for 250 m; on the left, take the track leading up to Puy Senimont 7 - Turn left onto the gravel path leading down to the entrance to Crocq.

Just before the sports field, take the D 28 on the right, and 400 meters further, take a path on the right in front of the housing estate, then enter the woods. Upon exiting the woods, turn left. At the second intersection, turn left and follow the path straight until you reach the D 28. Cross the road towards Naberon Haut, go through the village, ignore the sign for Côte Bertrand, and take a left; then turn left again until you reach Montel Guillaume. Pass the chapel on your right, and about 100 meters after the last house in the village, take a path to the left and go straight for 1 km through the woods. At the end of the path, at the intersection, take a right onto a path that climbs through conifers to reach the junction of the D 996 and D 9. Cross straight ahead onto the path

Start: le Montaurat Markings: yellow 1 - Start on the hill near the Cross. Go down the asphalt road. 2 - Turn right towards the D941. Follow the road through the village. 3 - Turn right onto Chemin des Buigettes (Chami de las Bouedgitas). 4 - Turn left onto Chemin de l'Arbre and continue to the butte de l'Arbre. Return right on Chemin de l'Arbre. 5 - Turn left on Chemin des Fontaines (Chami de las Founts). 6 - Turn right onto Chemin des Pieux (approx. 80 m after the fountains), then right to return to the hillock.

The Basville church, whose facade and bell tower were listed on June 15, 1926, is currently dedicated to Saint-Anne, having replaced Saint Allyre (Hillidius, bishops of Clermont), still in use in the 16th century. This 14th-century church, restored in 2006-2007, comprises a nave ending in a three-sided apse and modern chapels. The three-bay nave has a high pointed barrel vault, with double arches resting on engaged columns with capitals adorned with lanceolate leaves at the corners. The choir has a modern ribbed vault. The south facade features sculpted cornice modillions. The west portal has a broken tracery, with spandrels, columns and capitals forming a frieze. The west facade features a bell tower with a triangular gable and two arcades. Inside, the choir is adorned with a mosaic donated by M & H Chapal in 1918.

Dating from the 12th century and restored in the 18th century, the chapel has a bell tower-wall with a triangular gable.

The lantern of the dead that stands next to the triangular pediment bell-tower-wall is no longer a signal to guide the traveller through the night. But it overlooks the chapel which houses the 16th-century triptych in polychrome wood, two 18th century carved wooden panels and 14th-century stalls.
