This loop combines the discovery of the local terroir with a stroll between vineyards and forest. A detour through the village of Marcillac allows you to admire its listed church, its famous distillery whose fireplace marks the landscape, and its winegrowers' cooperative, 2 local gastronomic curiosities. Then, still between the vineyards, you reach a hamlet and its old flour mill converted into a restaurant. After crossing an open landscape alternating fields and pastures, you pass the Livenne river. You take the wide tracks through the mixed forest. During this quiet stroll, you may be able to observe birds bustling through the foliage or meet a deer at the bend in the path. On the way back to the starting point, you will pass close to the remains of another watermill, a witness to Marcillac's rich industrial heritage

Departure from the parking of the town hall of Pugnac From the parking, pass between the school and the hall, street "St Mamet - La Salvetat". Continue straight until the stop sign. Take the pave road in front until the next stop. At the intersection, turn right. We arrive at the hamlet "Les Métairies", cross it. At the following hamlet, go to the second intersection, at the signs, turn left. This pave road became a path that we take straight to toward the marshes of Moron. After the last house, you can go straight to take a break on the edge of the Moron. Otherwise, continuer the ballade, turn left on a grassy path. Then, at the intersection of two paths, continue straight ahead. Few meters away, turn left. Continue straight along a pond. At the signs, go on the right. Before the stop, turn right to take the white path. Arrived at the pave road, cross it and take the path in front to "Cassillac". At the end of the hamlet, turn left and continue on this same path to enter in "Augereau". Then, turn left and at the end of it, turn right. Take the right side again to "Lassalle". This is particularly here that there was a roman housing was excavated and then covered to prevent damages. At the entrance of the hamlet , leave the pave road to take on the right a path, going to "Le Vieux Moulin". Close to the creek, at the watermill's ruin well hidden by the vegetation, turn left and continue straight in undergrowth until "St-Urbain". At the road D23, cross it to arrive at the St Urbain Chapel, from the VXIIth century. The West entrance has a a steeple, which was restored in 1894 you can visit the Chapel or take a break on the public bench. Get back on the road and turn right : Caution with the traffic. A the signs, turn right. At the next intersection, walk straight ahead to "St Christoly". At the signs, go on the left on the path. At the end of the vines parcel, turn left. Go around it between the vineyard and the wood. Take the right at the end of the parcel and straight then right until the next signs. Get back on the pave road. Turn left to join the D135. At the intersection, turn right. At a hundred meters, turn left to go down in undergrowth. Just after the creek, go on the right to take a grassy path that winds between plots : turn left to go up, then on the right and finally on the left to a little pave road. At the intersection, at the signs, go up straight ahead. Stay on this little road, to the center of Pugnac. After the cemetery, at the signs of the intersection, turn left to arrive at the street "Des Anciens Combattants" that take you back at the starting point. Before going back at the town hall, you can go at the church Notre-Dame of Pugnac, this romanesque church was destroyed and rebuilt at the XIXth century.

Start from the parking of the hall of St-Trojan. Before starting the hike, go to see the chapel of Malta's knights. Then from the parking, get back on the road. Turn left and follow the signs. Stay on the left and be careful with the traffic. At the intersection, at the signs of the locality "Bellevue", turn left. Continue straight in the hamlet on a pave road that goes down on a wood. Down the descent, at the bridle, turn left. Pass close to a source and a washhouse and continue up the road. At the hamlet, turn right and immediately, at the corner of the house, turn left along a path. At the sign, continue straight ahead. At the end of the path, turn left to go down to a creek. At the crossroad of two paths, turn right and follow the signs. Exit the wood, you arrive on a pave lave. Continue to the intersection. At the signs, turn left and go down to the houses located in "Plétanne". Continue up the path. At the intersection "Petit Homme", straight ahead and go down to a new intersection. Go to the left and immediately turn right. Follow the signs: little pave road that go up. While you're climbing, you have the departure of the "Hike of the Estuary" on the right. To continue the Hike of the Chapel, do not turn and continue straight ahead. At the end of the path, at the intersection, go left on a pave road : locality "Calagnon". On this road, pass the hamlet of "Belourde", "Peyrolan" and "Nodeau". Stay on this road even if you are crossing others roads, until you join "Repimplet". At the end of this lane, turn left and about ten meters, go right to go down the path. At the intersection with a road, turn left, and at the bridle, go straight to follow the signs to "Rousselet". Pass next to the wine property, turn right and get back on the road, you will pass close to the cemetery of St-Trojan. At the intersection with the road D251, turn left and stay on this side: caution with the traffic. Continue straight ahead to get back to the starting point.

The old medieval church no longer exists, but a presbytery was built in 1670 and in the church of Sainte-Maurice, in 1715, the marriage of Jacques Duranteau, royal notary of Marguerite Portier, is recorded. Reignac has always been a place of residence for notaries, the last of whom, Guy Moraud, stayed for more than 50 years, from 1943 to 1994. In 1751, on July 24th, a clock was installed in the church of Sainte Maurice. In 1869, the construction of the modern church began according to the plans of Mr. Hostein. The consecration of this new church, with a rather slender modern bell-tower, is carried out in 1879.

Charming and rustic, the small chapel of Tutiac is dedicated to Notre Dame de Verdot. It is peacefully nestled among vineyards and pine trees. Of old construction, it was rebuilt in 1834; it was on this date that the decapitated polychrome Virgin (13th or 14th century) was exhumed from the walls of the sacristy. Ex-votos offered as a sign of gratitude bear witness to the spirituality of this place, which is always the subject of an annual pilgrimage on 8 September (Nativity of the Virgin).

Château Siffle Merle is a 25 ha family-run estate. There is also 2* furnished tourist accommodation on the property.

The church of Saint-Vincent is a Romanesque church from the 12th century. Reshaped in the Gothic period and in the 18th century, its richness comes from the portal decorated with frescos of oriental style. It has a massive fortified bell tower, altarpieces and two wooden statues of saints. Its famous cemetery cross, dating from the end of the 15th century, decorated with 12 statuettes representing the Apostles, was listed in 1907. This Romanesque church opens onto a portal, crowned by four vaults, decorated with interlacing. The vaults and capitals have carved motifs. A frieze, composed of facing griffins, decorates the capitals of the small columns framing the opening.

Château Les Vieux Moulin is a family estate taken over in 2010 by Damien Lorteau, who converted to organic farming in 2013. Several trips to South Africa, the United States and Australia have enabled the owner to modernize the estate and bring in new expertise. Château des Tourtes is a wonderful family story which is perpetuated. Created in 1967, Vignobles Raguenot thrive on the pioneering and visionary minds of Lise & Philippe Raguenot. In 1997, their two daughters Emmanuelle & Marie Pierre and their husbands take the vineyard of Château des Tourtes back, which is in Blaye-Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. This estate, located in Saint Caprais stretches on 64 ha whose 15 are a production of white grapes. This is a warm atmosphere and full of conviviality that awaits you in this lovely property.
