Walk around the Deux-Sèvres Tramway A 1.6 km walk allows everyone, tourists and inhabitants alike, to relive the Tramway des Deux-Sèvres (TDS) in its preserved space through an exhibition of 16 large paintings in the open air. This research work of the 3A thus exposed makes relive this industrial parenthesis which functioned from 1898 to 1939. The line linked Bressuire to Montreuil-Bellay, 62 km apart, passing through many towns including the Argenton station. Other panels (15) around the cemetery show the local life from old postcards unpublished. Tramway line built between 1892 and 1898. 62 km long, it linked Bressuire to Montreuil Bellay with its station in Argenton-Château ... The TDS went through Argentonnay, passing through La Coudre, Le Breuil-sous-Argenton and Ulcot.

Medieval bridge spanning the Argenton, it has six broken arches underlined by two concentric rollers, and four forward beaks particularly massive upstream facilitating the flow of water. In profile, the bridge adopts the shape of a speed bump.

The first castle would date from the 13th century and was attached to the duchy of Thouars. The first known lord is Hardouin de Grésille. In the 15th century, Pierre Fleury, consolidated the fortress. It is then necessary to imagine a complex set around a courtyard protected by a wall punctuated by circular towers. A first drawbridge made it possible to cross a water ditch and to enter a courtyard defended by towers. There were various buildings: stable, barn, wine press... A second courtyard also surrounded by ditches and accessible by a bridge carried the keep and the lord's dwelling. In the 19th century, the castle underwent numerous modifications: 2 of the towers were integrated into a bourgeois house built against part of the surrounding wall to which were added outbuildings and a circular dovecote dating from the 16th century. Today it houses the town hall.

La Ruche de Lola is a family-run business that produces local, artisanal honey harvested with the greatest respect for bees, extracted and lovingly potted by the beekeeper, as well as by-products (sweets, nougat, soap, gingerbread, etc.). The honey house is located on the farm, a 50m2 building housing all the equipment needed to extract and jar the honey. Most of the 200 hives are located within a twenty-km radius of Massais, and are moved around a few times a year for special honey flows. In 2024, La Ruche de Lola won 3 medals out of 3 honeys presented at the Concours des saveurs de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, including a gold medal for all-flower honey. A natural site made up of hillsides and meadows at the gateway to the deep valley of the Argenton, the Eboulis site takes its name from the boulders that have broken away from the hillsides, giving a chaotic appearance to the site on the banks of the river. These characteristics allow the practice of "sport and nature" activities such as hiking, trial, fishing, ... while ensuring the preservation of these rich and sensitive natural environments. A playful and artistic route allows you to discover the place.

Created by Mr Chevalet in 1905, the dairy was transformed into a cooperative the following year. The buildings were then erected. In 1910, the staff included an accountant, two controllers, two butter-makers and a driver, as well as dairy workers. Its churned butter won several awards at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris: Gold Medal in 1913, Bronze Medal in 1931, Silver Medal in 1935 and Gold Medal in 1937. This award-winning butter was renowned throughout France. A new milk reception dock was built in 1951. In 1964, under the impetus of Mr Jagueneau, production of Édam-type cheeses began in new premises comprising a production workshop and ripening rooms. The cheese is marketed under the Moulin-Neuf brand. The factory closes its doors for good in 2012 and reopens as an art gallery in 2025.
