Parking and departure from Parc de l'Etang, just outside Sainte-Soline, in the direction of Lezay. Just off the N10, take a break at Valence en Poitou in the south of the Vienne department for an hour, a day or even longer. Take the opportunity to discover the remains of the Cistercian abbey founded in 1230 by Hugues X de Lusignan. At the time, the building comprised an abbey church 70m long and 30m wide. Damaged in particular by the Wars of Religion, the abbey was rebuilt and restored many times before being sold as national property during the French Revolution. Two buildings bear witness to the original construction: the guesthouse and the monks' refectory, comprising two naves and three bays with ribbed vaults. The exterior is open to the public.

On the road of the vacations, or in stay in Civraisien in Poitou, take advantage of your passage in Valence in Poitou (near the N10) to discover the Halles de Couhé. Built in the XVIth century, they have an imposing frame which rests on 56 octagonal pillars. The side aisles have kept their original stone paving It is one of the emblematic monuments of Couhé - Valence en Poitou.
