This hike is an opportunity to discover the small rural heritage: wells, roadside crosses, dry stone walls. To discover, the sites of "Rural Nostalgia" in the village. The Butte de Frochet is one of the most emblematic natural sites in the Upper Limousin. The vegetation and landscapes change with the seasons, offering a different light and atmosphere each time. A hiking trail allows you to discover this site and the surrounding countryside. An interpretation trail has also been created on site to help visitors learn more about the flora and fauna found here. The Butte de Frochet is a unique landscape site, whose constitution is linked to the largest quartz outcrop in the region. Part of the site is made up of a vast chaos of boulders offering a view over the Charente Limousine. The rest of the site follows a ridge line, with dry moorland in various stages of development.

The 13th century Fraisse was a "noble dwelling" of which almost nothing remains today. It was burned in 1356 by the famous Black Prince. It was rebuilt after the Hundred Years War by Sieur Jacques des MONSTIERS. It is the "old castle" of the 15th century forming the right part of the buildings The main part, of the XVIth century, of Renaissance type has a beautiful Henri II staircase, the big room with its S.Serlio fireplace whose entablature represents the Fraisse of the XVIth . Visits are made by a member of the family.
