If you're looking for a wellness break in an unspoilt natural setting, with friends or family, the Moulin de Cordouen, between Mayenne and Orne, offers a quality service with its sauna and Nordic bath on the River Mayenne. The Moulin has been redesigned by an architect to offer spacious accommodation in every room, with bay windows to take advantage of the waterfall and the landscape. The two stone buildings are linked by a glass roof and completely surrounded by wooden terraces. They can accommodate up to 10 people. The Manoir de Coupesarte is a manor house boasting its original wood frame and and exceptional example of architectural harmony. Built on a moat as from the 15th century, the barns and stables date from the 17th century. Visits of the exterior are possible all year long. Free of charge.

In 1906, Georges Leroy, a Livarot-based owner of a company that produced ‘small nailed and stapled boxes’ acquired a steam engine he had seen in operation at the 1889 World Fair. The machine supplied the entire company with electricity up to 1957, today offering a fine symbol of the period. Listed on the French Historic Monuments supplementary inventory, the engine is open to visitors within a factory interpretation area, organised around it.

Église Notre-Dame - Montviette

Situated between Lisieux, Livarot and Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives, the Domaine des Essarts welcomes you all year round to its 20 hectares of organically grown orchards on the sunny slopes of the Vallée de la Vie. The surprising architecture of the family farm perfectly combines the tradition of the Pays d'Auge and modernity Dana Lerner will be pleased to give you information on the different and interesting stages of the work; from planting and maintaining the orchards to harvesting, and of course the transformation of organic apples into this unique, sparkling and bittersweet drink we call cider. Built using brick chains, the church of St Aubin dates from the 11th and the 16th centuries. The portal is surmounted by a niche, probably dating from the 16th century. The base of the tower dates from the 11th century. Open on request (tel. 02 31 20 88 59).

Of the parish church Saint-Pierre de La Gravelle, desecrated and sold in 1832, only the remains of the walls and the western portal visible from the road remain. It is dated to the second half of the 12th century. Its original portal is "characteristic of small Romanesque buildings. The semicircular arch is bordered by a cymaise loaded with stars". Since 1832, it has been privately owned. The central painting of the main altar, representing Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens, was transferred to the church of La Chapelle-Haute-Grue. The other objects of worship were moved to the church in Tortisambert. In August 1900, the church of Montviette was enlarged by a porch belfry. On the south side, it is illuminated by a stained glass window representing Saint Peter, thus recalling the attachment of La Gravelle to the parish of Montviette.
