This stage of the Monts de Blond GRP follows the southern plateau that borders the Monts de Blond. The landscape alternates between undergrowth and the Limousin countryside. Many points of view are offered to you on the mounts of Blond.

The horse-riding circuit in Couzeix starts at the Texonnieras racecourse. This is one of the oldest racecourses in France, and the only one on the outskirts of Limoges. During your walk, you may have the chance to see some horses. The circuit takes you to discover the localities to the west of Couzeix, including the Devil's Stone at point 6 of the topofiche. A beautiful walk close to Limoges.

The Glane circuit is a hiking route of medium difficulty and lasts 3h30 for 14.5 km. The hiker will visit the town of Oradour-sur-Glane (new church and statue of Fenosa) and its infamous martyred village. Take the time to enter the Centre de la Mémoire (allow 1.5 hours in addition to the hike) so as not to forget these historical facts known throughout the world. You will walk along the Glane river, which is a tributary of the Vienne river, and take paths between hedgerows, mills and forests to discover small villages and hamlets such as Cros or Mas du Puy. There is a variant of 9.6 km and a duration of 2 h 30.

Have you heard of the Musée archéologique Lémovice Guy Lintz in St Gence, 15 minutes from Limoges? Ten years of excavations have provided important information about the Gallic village of Saint-Gence . However, they have only covered a small part of the site, i.e. around one thirtieth of its estimated surface area of some 15 hectares. Saint-Gence is considered to have been an important center of Lemovician settlement since the 3rd century BC. So why not visit the museum and dream that Saint-Gence may well have been a village of Gallic diehards! You can also take part in the Terra Aventura "Tous en Celtes" treasure hunt for the "Ziclou" badge. Unique in Europe, the Veyrac dovecote bridge was built over the Glanet in the 17th century, as part of a former château. Comprising five arches, it is built on two levels. The first level provided access to the left bank, where the château?s orchard was located. The second level was the dovecote, entered through a trapdoor.

By the 11th century, the château was a medieval fortress. It has had a succession of owners, including Montrocher, de Stuer... The library features a Renaissance-style fireplace carved with a Salamander. In 1837, Durand de la Saigne du Boucheron restored the building, and in 1877, art enthusiast Armand Nivet undertook transformations, hence his initials in the main hall (fireplace and beams) and courtroom (ceiling).
