We recommend that you wear suitable shoes to fully enjoy your experience. Open year-round and free of charge, these chalets are a true haven of peace. The Graber Breitenstein chalet is located above the Graber Inn. Inside, you will find a fireplace to warm up during your breaks; just remember to use it carefully and turn it off before leaving. Following a prefectural order, outdoor barbecues are prohibited. To enhance your adventure, detailed hiking maps and information on accommodations and dining are available at the Tourist Office of the Doller and Soultzbach Valley.Don't hesitate to go there to plan your visit and make the most of it. Hiking shoes are recommended.

Discover one of the most beautiful ridges in the southern Vosges, surrounded by deep forests, peaceful lakes and breathtaking panoramic views. This 13.8 km circuit takes you from Baerenkopf to Sudel, passing through remarkable natural and cultural sites. Departure: From Masevaux, head towards Ballon d'Alsace until you reach the village of Kirchberg. Once in the village, follow the signs for Kirchberg-centre, then the signs for Lachtelweiher. After leaving the village, continue along the mountain road for about 3.5 km until you reach Lachtelweiher lake. Then follow the road around the lake and park in the car park on the right, slightly below the road. This is where your hike begins, in the heart of a peaceful, unspoilt environment. Sights and points of interest along the route Lachtelweiher Lake: a charming lake nestled in lush greenery, ideal for a contemplative break or picnic. Oratory of the Virgin Mary: a small, discreet place of worship imbued with serenity. Ridge line: offers magnificent views of the surrounding valleys, particularly towards the Alsace Plain and the Vosges peaks. Neuberg shelter: perfect for a break sheltered from the wind. Baerenkopf: summit offering a remarkable panorama, the highlight of the route. Ferme Auberge du Lochberg & Ferme Auberge du Bruckenwald: two authentic places to enjoy local cuisine in a warm atmosphere.

Set off on a magnificent ridge hike between Baerenkopf and Sudel, offering superb panoramic views of the Vosges valleys and the landscapes of Alsace on this 6.25 km hike. Departure: From Masevaux, follow the signs for Ballon d'Alsace to the village of Kirchberg. In the village, head towards Kirchberg-centre, then follow the signs for Lachtelweiher. After leaving Kirchberg, continue along a mountain road for about 3.5 km until you reach Lake Lachtelweiher. Follow the road around the lake, then park in the car park on the right, below the road. This is where your route begins, surrounded by nature, between forest and open ridges. Sights and points of interest: Ferme Auberge du Lochberg: a gourmet stop in the heart of the pastures. Lachtelweiher Lake: a haven of tranquillity at the foot of the mountains. Oratory of the Virgin Mary: discreet and peaceful, it marks a spiritual pause along the way. Baerenkopf: the highest point of the hike, with a breathtaking view of the surrounding valleys.

From the farmhouse inn Bruckenwald, a nice walk of about 2 hours is offered to you. Discover beautiful landscapes between forests and pastures at 800 m altitude and beautiful views.

From Franche-Comté to Switzerland, EuroVelo 6 follows the Rhône-Rhine canal into Alsace, passing the impressive ladder of twelve locks of Valdieu-Lutran in its southern part. After arriving in Mulhouse, the route continues along the banks of the Rhône-Rhine Canal to Kembs. From there, via the towpath of the 403000002 into Germany and then into Switzerland to Basel.

The farm inn inn Entzenbach is nestled in the valley of the same name, at 620 m altitude. Away from the great hiking trails, it offers a quiet place to visitors.

Departing from Lausanne, head to the medieval town of Gruyères, home to the famous Swiss cheese!  Leave Lausanne by bus and climb up into the alpine pastures to reach Gruyères.  After a tour around the town, your guide will take you to a Swiss chocolate factory to show you how famous Swiss chocolate is made.  Then head to an old alpine cheese factory. Enjoy a Swiss cheese tasting and learn more about the national dish: fondue.  Learn to make your own Swiss fondue and try the traditional dish.  After your meal, relax and climb on board the Golden Express, a panoramic train which crosses the alpine pastures and the heights of Lake Geneva. Enjoy incredible views of the lake and the Alps. When you get off the train, get back on your bus and head to Lavaux and its terraced vineyards. The pony club of Haut-Bois welcomes you every day. Jennifer and his dad Francis offer baby pony lessons for children from 2 ½ years, private lessons or group and free rides on horseback or pony.

[Currently undergoing restoration work until October 2025] From the top of the rocky promontory of Eichstein, the Virgin of Alsace watches over Niederbruck and the Doller Valley. Sculpted by Antoine Bourdelle in 1923, she is made of grey Chauvigny limestone. Before her inauguration on October 7, 1923, the sculpture was exhibited at the Autumn Salon in Paris. Her story: At the beginning of World War I, the village mayor and owner of the copperworks, Joseph Vogt (mayor of Niederbruck from 1891 to 1919), and his wife promised to erect a statue on the Eichstein rock if the factory and the valley were spared. Their wish was granted. After Joseph Vogt's death, his son Léon fulfilled the promise. The plaque on the statue’s pedestal bears the inscription: "In gratitude for the divine protection over the Masevaux valley and the return of Alsace-Lorraine to France — the spouses Joseph Vogt 1914–1918." Access to the Virgin is only on foot via a moderate hiking trail. The path begins at the edge of the bike trail, where it enters the forest. Follow the blue circle markers. Upon arrival at the Virgin, you will enjoy a view of the village and the Triebelskopf and Heindenkopf mountains.

With its pedestrianized city center, Masevaux has become a very welcoming town. Known as a flower-filled town awarded 4 flowers, it won the national grand prize in 2000 and the Golden Flower (Fleur d’Or) in 2015. It can be discovered in all seasons, especially through its historical and tourist circuit during the summer. Numerous events take place throughout the year, including the Pumpkin Festival, the Magical Christmas Walk, flea markets, and street fairs.

Nestled on the northeastern flank of Baerenkopf the Kippelen family welcomes you and offers delicious dishes of farm products: bacon, cheese farmer. This farm is located above the Lachtelweiher lake and allows hikers to take a lunch break on site and enjoy the view of the Doller valley and the Alsace plain.

The Wissgrut farmhouse inn is located on the Alsatian side of the Ballon d'Alsace mountain. It offers exceptional views of the Alsace plain, the Doller valley, the peaks of the Vosges mountains, the Belfort region and, on a clear day, the Swiss Alps and the Mont Blanc massif. This establishment offers several types of accommodation, rooms, dormitories or lodgings. Some of them are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Located on the road that leads to the Ballon d'Alsace. It is possible to eat at the hostel and on the terrace.

The Beaucourt ski club chalet is located directly on the Langenberg slopes. Overnight accommodation in dormitory on reservation. Chalet open during the ski season from mid-December to mid-March weekends and school holidays of the Besançon Academy.

The mountain shelter is located at the foot of the ski slopes on the road leading to the Ballon d'Alsace. It is open all year by reservation. Sheets or sleeping bags must be brought obligatorily. The dining room can accommodate up to 80 people. New: Reservations are made online at chaletlangenberg.ffcam.fr/.

The house can accommodate a family of up to 5 people. Close to the center, it provides walking access to the activities and events of the town as well as to all the amenities.

Accommodation located at the Ballon d'Alsace on the road towards Sewen between the Tourtet and Chaumière. The room can hold 99 people. Two dormitories, one of 12 and one of 7 are available.
