On various paths, sometimes in the undergrowth, offering beautiful views of the Monédières, the viaduct... you will cross our beautiful valleys, appreciate the small heritage of our villages and discover the village of Naves, its altarpiece classified as a historical monument... without forgetting, nearby, the exceptional ancient site of Tintignac. There is a variant of 8 km.

Starting from the village of Naves, you can admire the church altarpiece, a Baroque masterpiece from the late 17th century. It occupies the apse of the 14th-century church and is 14 m high and 12 m long. Along the way, you'll discover several viewpoints over the Monédières massif and the town of Naves (from Bassaler). Along the way, you'll pass by the Manoir de Leyrat and Château de Bach. You can also visit an oven in the hamlet of La Pérussie. You start from the small church which still has its Romanesque bell tower and to which the town hall is attached on the substructions of an old castle. Follow the shady stone paths through villages and small valleys, along the many streams.

Starting from the bathing area, you'll make your way along the flora discovery trail. On one side, you'll find a number of playful structures that allow you to discover the biodiversity of the forest and, on the other, that of the river. One reaches the heights of Tulle through the woods on single-track paths, and then follows the Roman road, which in Gallo-Roman times linked Clermont-Ferrand to Bordeaux. At Fressinges, you have a magnificent view of the Monédières and the viaduct, one of the largest in Europe. Around the 6th km mark, you'll embark on a long descent. At the bottom, at a place called Les Angles, you come to the hamlet of Maugein. You then pass through a magnificent pine forest, then winding paths through the woods to reach Haut Bourbacoup. You then pass through the Forêt du Souvenir. This small forest of

4km route in the Forêt du souvenir, planted in memory of the 99 Tulle hangmen. From the bathing area, take the cycle path at Esprit Nature Station Sports Nature Pays de Tulle, then join the path at the bottom of the Bourbacoup housing estate. Once in the allotments, join the Forêt du Souvenir at km 1. Continue through the Donnareaux to return to the forest and then back to the bathing area.

13.2km route. Starting from the bathing area, head for the heights of Tulle through the woods on single-track paths, then take the Roman road (which in Gallo-Roman times linked Clermont-Ferrand to Bordeaux). At Fressinges, you'll have a magnificent view of the Monédières and the Pays de Tulle viaduct. Around the 6th km mark, you'll embark on a long descent. Once at the bottom (at Les Angles), pick up the Maugein route again. You'll pass through a small pine forest on a magnificent mono-track, then winding singles through the woods to reach the top of Bourbacoup, with a passage through the Forêt du souvenir, and finally the finish at the bathing area.

This 2km course is ideal for an introduction to trail running (work on pace, intensity...). Start : in front of the swimming pool.

Route of 9km. Start from the bathing area, take the cycle track which is located at the level of Esprit Nature Station Sports Nature Pays de Tulle then join the path at the bottom of the Bourbacoup housing estate. Go up through the woods on a technical single track. You will find yourself on a small path with a passage in a small pine forest very pleasant. Just before the village of Maugein, turn left to return to the heights of Tulle (beautiful view of the stadium and the Auzelou). Then passage in the Forest of the memory and the arrival.

The city of Tulle, clinging to the rocky slopes of the Corrèze valley, squeezes in on both sides of the river. By taking the Horizons Tullois circuit you will leave the valley, gain height, and discover the surrounding countryside. On the way back you can enjoy the view over Tulle from the heights.

Emerging between the valleys of the tumultuous Corrèze and Vézère rivers, the Monédières massif features harmoniously rounded shapes and wild landscapes where heather moors, coniferous forests and sparkling lakes alternate.

Naves is located on the north-western plateau overlooking the Corrèze valley. Situated at a crossroads of ancient roads, the village grew up in the 6th century following the abandonment of the ancient Gallo-Roman site, the remains of which can be seen at Tintignac. The small Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens church, in the center of the village, is home to a remarkable monument: the altarpiece by the Duhamel brothers, famous sculptors from Correze, created between 1680 and 1704. Listed as a historic monument, it is one of the most prestigious examples of Baroque art in the Limousin region.

This magnificent work (which, according to specialists, has no equal in France) was begun around 1690 and completed in 1704. It was created by the Duhamel brothers, two sculptors from Tull. The altarpiece is entirely carved in walnut and measures fourteen meters high by twelve meters wide. The panels represent episodes from the life of Saint Peter, patron saint of the church, and the great mysteries of Christianity. Thus, 10 panels represent the conversion of the centurion Cornelius and the life of Saint Peter, and above the altar are 4 panels whose main theme is the life of Christ. Above these panels are 4 statues. On the left is Saint Jerome the hermit, facing him is Saint John the Baptist preaching in the desert, and at the front are Saint Peter, recognizable by his keys, and Saint Paul holding a sword.

The house of the heritage gathers : - the archaeological space of Tintignac which allows to discover four of the most precious Gallic objects discovered in 2004 on the archaeological site of Tintignac and restored: carnyx with boar's head, complete war trumpet, swan helmet, mouthpiece of the carnyx snake and small horse. - the Louis Puyaubert geological space which presents the exceptional geological collection of Doctor Louis Puyaubert, a doctor in Tulle at the beginning of the 20th century, but also a great naturalist, particularly passionate about mineralogy. The space presents 3000 samples out of the 6500 samples of the collection. Among a majority of Corrèze samples, there are many foreign specimens, including pieces offered by luminaries of the mineralogical world and in particular a spectacular Alpine quartz offered by Alfred Lacroix.

The Pays de Tulle viaduct is located to the north of Tulle, in the communes of Naves and Les Angles sur Corrèze. It is one of the highest bridges in France in terms of headroom and pier height. Made of prestressed concrete, it was built using the successive corbelling method and spans the Corrèze valley over a length of 854 m at a height of 150 m. The structure is based on a fully curved layout with a radius of 1,350 m. This curving principle gives the structure a wide, dynamic overall movement.

Halfway between Tulle and Naves, this village nestles at the bottom of the Corrèze valley. The small village square boasts a remarkable range of freestone architecture, with its charming little church and bell tower. It's also the starting point for some lovely country walks, such as the one leading to the famous Gimel waterfalls.

To honor their memory and continue to inform the generations of today and tomorrow, the city of Tulle and the Office National des Anciens Combattants et Victimes de la Guerre have created a memorial trail, comprising three circuits: the city center (13 stages), the Souilhac district (5 stages) and the outskirts of Tulle (6 stages). Punctuated by plaques, steles and monuments, this trail will lead you through the streets of Tulle, enabling everyone to learn about and better understand the history of "Tulle, Resistance fighter and martyr".

The Cité de l'Accordéon et des Patrimoines (Accordion and Heritage Centre) in Tulle opened its doors in 2024.
