The Neuplanchas circuit (wide cultivated furrow in Occitan) is a short walk of 5 km to be done in 1h15. It leads the hiker to the discovery of the local natural and architectural heritage. Don't miss the castle and the canal of the old mill of Boisse, the forest, the ponds and the bridge over the Glane! Have a nice walk.

Peyrilhac is nestled at the foot of the Monts de Blond and at the gateway to the Limoges agglomeration. Beautiful walk with many alleys lined with oak trees. Panoramic views of the Monts de Blond are available to hikers. Possible variation in 3h30 and 14 km.

Discover the small heritage of Senon (spring water dispenser, wash house, aqueducts...) and the history of Saint-Gence, an ancient Gallic city settled in the 3rd century B.C., which was the regional capital of the Lémovices. A pleasant walk around the village, to be done with the family.

A pleasant 5 km walk at the gates of Limoges in a preserved natural setting. Easy walk around the pond of Puy Boursaud (download the brochure on the forest at the bottom of the page). Take advantage of the many viewpoints. Possible variation of 1h20 to enjoy the forest.

On this circuit you will walk through the Comprinius estate, which was until the 18th century the place where travellers from Paris passed through. Follow the tramway line which served the north of the Haute-Vienne from 1908 to 1949.

Hiking through the Haute-Vienne in the magnificent massif of the Monts d'Ambazac, the first western foothills of the Massif Central, which culminate at 701 m altitude. You will walk through the Limousin mountains and its historical heritage. This hike will offer you many panoramas on the Monts d'Ambazac, and will take you through forests of deciduous trees, conifers and beech trees. Dive into the history of the 12th century, with the chapel of the monastic order of Grandmont (variant), and discover the many villages with traditional architecture.

By crossing the typical Limousin villages, you will have the opportunity to reach the heights (col de la Sablonnade) allowing you to have unequalled views on the region. Another path, the path around the village, offers an additional discovery of Compreignac. You are close to the lake of Saint-Pardoux with its beaches, its indoor swimming pool and its outdoor slides, its sailing base, its water skiing centre and its acrobatic course in the trees.

The Aurieres trail starts in the village of Chaptelat and takes you through the Limousin countryside. Pass in front of the Château de Puymirat. Follow the old tramway that used to link Chaptelat to Limoges.

She lives on the opposite side of the gîte, with independent entrances and outdoor areas. The Château de Nieul, its park, pond and hiking trails are 600 m away. The gîte is 400m from the train station (TER Limoges-Poitiers line) and 10km from the airport.

Sitting at the picnic area on the banks of the La Glane stream near the Boisse bridge, you've found the ideal spot to spend a pleasant moment in the countryside!

By the 11th century, the château was a medieval fortress. It has had a succession of owners, including Montrocher, de Stuer... The library features a Renaissance-style fireplace carved with a Salamander. In 1837, Durand de la Saigne du Boucheron restored the building, and in 1877, art enthusiast Armand Nivet undertook transformations, hence his initials in the main hall (fireplace and beams) and courtroom (ceiling). Inside, 13th-, 16th- and 17th-century stained glass of Germanic, Flemish and Swiss origin illuminates the windows. Owned by the commune since 1936, the building and its surroundings have been a listed site since 1946. These public spaces with their contrasting atmospheres (valleys, waterfalls, pond, park) form a picturesque landscape in the village. Visits by appointment with the Nieul et Alentours association.

The picnic area with 2 tables is located close to the château. Just cross the road and you'll find yourself in a superb park with a pond and a remarkable California cedar known as the Wolf Tree!

The commune of Thouron is characterized by its multitude of ponds (over a hundred!). Small watercourses, meadows and wooded areas also add to its charm. Don't forget to stop off at the war memorial depicting a Limousin shepherdess in costume and clogs.

Take a break in the center of Nantiat and visit the town's heritage: the church (stained glass windows dating from 1914-1915, paying tribute to the town's fallen soldiers), the baptistery and the Croix Parot menhir.

The present church was built between 1829 and 1833. The statues from the former church were transferred here. It comprises a 3-bay nave, flanked by 4 semi-circular chapels. The circular choir has a half-dome vault. In 1867, the church was decorated with murals.

We recommend stopping off in Nantiat for a picnic break! This stopover gives you the opportunity to visit the town's interesting built heritage: the church with its stained glass windows dating from 1914-1915, which pay tribute to the soldiers who died in the canton, the baptistery and the Croix Parot menhir.

Have you heard of the Musée archéologique Lémovice Guy Lintz in St Gence, 15 minutes from Limoges? Ten years of excavations have provided important information about the Gallic village of Saint-Gence . However, they have only covered a small part of the site, i.e. around one thirtieth of its estimated surface area of some 15 hectares. Saint-Gence is considered to have been an important center of Lemovician settlement since the 3rd century BC. So why not visit the museum and dream that Saint-Gence may well have been a village of Gallic diehards! You can also take part in the Terra Aventura "Tous en Celtes" treasure hunt for the "Ziclou" badge. This treasure hunt will help you learn more about the history of the ancient Gallic town of Saint-Gence. Information on the website (link).
